Jim Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Testing the poll Bob's edit: Important before voting: To help us resolve the problem, could you use the developer tools: using Chrome: Open Tools -> Development tools (Maj+Ctrl+I), go to the Network tab, clear the queries (second button on the upper left bar), then vote. A query should appear, right click on it and select Copy -> Copy Response Headers and paste the result here. Do the same for Copy -> Copy Response. If you experience the non-working poll issue, the response will be empty. using Firefox: Open Tools -> Web Development -> Development Tools, go to the Network tab, clear the queries, then vote. mocbuild101 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I voted, and a pop-up said "thank you for your vote", but when I refreshed the page, it hadn't saved - and I could vote again. Quote

schraubedrin Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) "Show Results" only works when i open it in a new tab [EDIT:] Maybe it's a browser related issue? I'm using Firefox... Edited July 10, 2017 by schraubedrin Quote
steph77 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 seems to work. I be able to vote 3 times with thanks message at the end. Quote

LuxorV Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I tried with both Firefox and Opera, and it did not save the vote. Though, as you say it would seem it worked with Jim and Bob. What (special) browsers do you two use? Is it a rank issue, where it saves votes from Admins only? Quote
Lipko Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Same here. I only see the result when I open the see results in another tab and my vote is not added. IE 11 on Windows 7. Quote

We first thought about a permission issue, but that didn't seem to be the case (although it sure looks like it right now). However, the poll frequently isn't working for me either. Quote
PorkyMonster Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I'm using chrome... not working either. Can vote multiple times, but can't see any result. Quote
brickless_kiwi Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Android on samung can vote but not working sorry Jim Quote

Very strange... 32 minutes ago, schraubedrin said: "Show Results" only works when i open it in a new tab Same here, I'm using Firefox too. One thing I noticed, when you click show results, it refreshes the poll but "&_poll=results" isn't added to the end of the URL in the address bar - which explains why you can see the results if you open it in a new tab. EDIT: Interesting... I was able to save my vote! What I did is refresh the page just after clicking "submit vote" (while it showed "voteing..."). Edited July 10, 2017 by mocbuild101 Quote
Epic Technic Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Doesn't work for me either, it accepts my vote, but doesn't process it. I tested it on: -Windows 10, Chrome -Android 7.1.1, Chrome Beta -IOS 10.3, Safari None of these work. Quote

nick97 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Didn't work for me. After voting it said 'thank you', but it didn't save it. I used Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Nope. Doesn't work. I am currently using Silk for Kindle. I voted for 4 by the way (What, is it wrong? ) 43 minutes ago, mocbuild101 said: Could you try what worked for me? - refresh the page just after clicking "submit vote" (before it says "thank you"). I am very interested to see if it works for other members! Nope, my page reloads too slowly so "thank you" already shows up PLUS I can't see the results so kind of defeats the point of the poll. That indeed looks like the indication whether you can still vote or not. Apparently your vote has been stored, but the poll hasn't been updated. I still think it has something to do with the Async call to the server. This caused problems before (the "overlay" problem when browsing). Quote
