Eggyslav Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) GRRRREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS, Fellow Eurobrickers and Eurobrickettes! Guess what? It's time for another LDD built spacecraft designed by yours truly, Eggy. Inspired by a Certain Thread by @VaderFan2187, and one of Yooha's Collectable Minifigs, I decided to bring another classical Lego Space subtheme back to life, starting with a spaceship. So without any further ado, I present you, SPACE POLICE IV "LABRYSS" CLASS INTERCEPTOR: Space Police Interceptor1 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr As you see, I tried to recreate the original Space Police Palette of black, blue, and trans-red canopies, but then, I replaced the classic blue with earth blue, to correspond with series 7 cmf, Galactic Enforcer, and added a splash of white here and there... Now, Just like my Blacktron Sharovipterix, this baby is modular: Space Police Interceptor4 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr The "Labryss" (name means double edged axe, and seeing it from top, you kinda see where that name comes from) Is a versatile cruiser, used for patrolling, reconaisance, and pursuit. The sleek cockpit is spaceous enough for two minifigs, and can be detached, to act as an emergency pod, or a light pursuit unit: Space Police Interceptor8 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr The "Labryss" is equipped with standard Issue Convict Containment Capsule, CCC, or 3C for short. A tiny, yet Cozy Cell, where convicted criminals are held in a state of biological stasis, here's a caught Blacktron Agent, put inside: Space Police Interceptor6 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr And here we have closed 3C module, note the touchpad, it not only allows to open and close the Capsule, but also is monitoring and displaying informations on the convict: Space Police Interceptor5 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr And, as a bonus, here's a little figbarf of basic Space Police IV units, I based their uniforms on the aformentioned Space Police CMF by mah Boi @Yooha: Space Police Corps by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr From left to right: Space Police IV Officer, SP4 Constable, SP4 Enforcer, SP4 Commando, SP4 Security Droid, SP4 K9 Droid, and SP4 Patrol Drone. AAAAAAAAND... I Reckon That's that. See you Guys Next MOC, check out my Flickr, and again, shoutout to @VaderFan2187 and @Yooha, and thanks for Inspiration! Edited July 5, 2017 by Eggyslav Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) Cool! I like your color scheme take on SP4. Using Earth Blue is sort of a merging of the Bright Blue and Black of SP1, while the inclusion of Trans. Green blasters evokes SP3 somewhat. Thanks for linking @Yooha's CMF thread, that is one I totally missed! His Neo Space Police cop is brilliant! Edited July 6, 2017 by Digger of Bricks Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Aww, glad to hear you took inspiration from my ships I love your ship, especially the cool curves and the red cockpits. (Oh and of course the modular aspect ) Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I like your work here, especially with the figures! The abrupt transition from curved wing to flat underside bugs me a bit though. Quote

Yep, using trans green was indeed borrowed from the latest iteration of the subtheme, although Earth Blue was rather a reference to this guy: But In conjecture with black and trans red canopies it was also, as you said, an updated SP1 palette. :) 5 hours ago, Umbra-Manis said: I like your work here, especially with the figures! Nah, don't be bugged about it, it's supposed to be that way, normal aeroplane wings are also flat on the bottom, besides, they are a perfect place to store extra Spring Loaded shooter ammo: Space Police Interceptor9 by Jarek Wrzosek, on Flickr 6 hours ago, VaderFan2187 said: Aww, glad to hear you took inspiration from my ships I love your ship, especially the cool curves and the red cockpits.
