Brainbox Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 *wub* Ahhh... Penguin army. Some nice customs there Penguin, and I think the better ones are the simpler ones, like the Arkham doctors and the The Batman Riddler. I like the new hair for Robin/Tim as well, but Nightwing less so. UIt's not bad, not at all, I just don't think it's quite right for the character. But still very nice work. Quote
Batbrick Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Loving that Penguin army there. Good face choice for Gordon, I also really like those Arkham doctors, their torsos are great. "The Baman" Riddler and Mad Hatter are nice, despite me not liking that show you've done a great job of recreating them. I like your face choice for Jonathan Crane too. Poison Ivy with green hair is a nice touch, but I like red better. Mr.Freeze in black suit is very cool, however I think he should have blue gloves and/or blue leg connector to mix it out a bit. I also like Harvey's breakout jumpsuit. I agree with Brainbox too, the new hair for Tim Drake is great, but I don't really like the new one for Dick Grayson. And a great penguin army, good job the Penguin! Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Wout Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 One great thought!: Penguin Battle pack with one Penguin and 5 pinguins (with pistols), make it a impulse set from the minifgs I like Jonathan Crane/ the scarecrow the most. The second Severus Snape head looks good on him. Quote
hoang Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 definitely the penguin army is what caught my attention. i like. Quote
Asuka Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Impressive work with a great penguin army and an excellent Gordon. *y* Quote
Medievalego Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 The Penguin army is pretty awesome :) I like the design. Nice work! ~ M ~ Quote

MagPiesRUs Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Ah! So this is what happens when Batman meets 'March of the Penguins' :-D Great army *wub* I love your Scarecrow too. Great work *y* Quote

Brainbox Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 He isn't in any of the movies. Well, technically he is. Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the first Robin, so he was in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as Robin. But I do believe he considered taking the name Nightwing briefly in Batman Forever. But he's not been in any films as Nightwing. Trust me to go one better than Batbrick! :-D Quote
Lamanda2 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Excellent Minifigs! I do have one, probably stupid question: The hair piece on Robin, I have not seen it before. Is it Official or Custom? I tried to lighten up the picture to see it better, but I still couldn't tell. Thanks, ~Amanda Quote

Thanks, ~Amanda Dear lady! ) Thank you for your kind words. ) Your question is in no way stupid: many people are puzzled by these pieces. They are custom and were ordered on Bricklink. ) Yours faithfully, Quote
Batbrick Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 (edited) Trust me to go one better than Batbrick! :-D WROOOONG! *sing* For you see my pun-obsessed friend, Nightwing by itself is not only a character, but instead a title. Just as Batman is a title carried by Bruce wayne, so is Nightwing by Dick Grayson. So while Dick has appeared in the films with the title of Robin, he has yet to appear as Nightwing. For example, if i were to watch the first ten minutes of Batman Begins, then stop, would I be able to honestly say I have seen Batman? No, for a character yet to become, is not a character yet X-D Anyway. I like your Maxie Zeus as well The Penguin, those beard pieces are fantastic. The gotham celebrities are a nice touch, I see you have my second sigfig's torso. I also like Two-Face's twin bodyguards, though I think another face could work better, they seem to much like agent types. Anyway, great work overall, I very much look forward to future customs and mocs from you! Batbrick Away! >:-) Edited February 9, 2008 by Batbrick Quote

Lt. Veers Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 One question: How well do penguins fight? Quote
Lamanda2 Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 "Thank you for your kind words. ) Your question is in no way stupid: many people are puzzled by these pieces. The Penguin Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 (edited) One question: How well do penguins fight? " The liberation of Gotham has begun!" *skull* "The penguins have reached Gotham Plaza. Estimated number of people killed - 100,000." Edited February 10, 2008 by The Penguin Quote
Brainbox Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 WROOOONG! *sing* For you see my pun-obsessed friend, Nightwing by itself is not only a character, but instead a title. Batbrick Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Ah, but you'll notice I said "technically" thus allowing myself to pontificate just slightly into the realms of error, without actually being wrong. ;-) Ah yes, but this also gives a sign of weakness by allowing yourself to be on the edge of error and truth, so despite the fact that you may not have been wrong per se, you neither were right, thus setting yourself up to be bested by a superior argument ;-) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

We both become a bit more of a man X-D Oh, and The penguin, I just noticed that you have Montoya there, I like your choice of face for her. And I still can't get over that awesome penguin army :-D Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
