Fender Bender Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) Hiya guys! I couldn't find this in the index, so I thought I'd post it. It's a pretty decent fort in my opinion. Not my creation! Brickshelf folder There's also some cool islander stuff in the folder *sweet* Edited February 6, 2008 by phred Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted February 3, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted February 3, 2008 What a nice find *wub* I like this fort for so many reasons. It has a consistent color schema, it's big, it has lots of different levels, good details, ... This would look good on the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com. I wished we could find the contact details of the builder! Quote
Mile85 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I like especially right side of the fort. It's obvious that the builder run out of red slopes when he/she, built roof on the ride side. But that's the best part IMO. Nice MOC, nice find *y* Quote
SlyOwl Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I saw this on BS but didn't think too much of it at the time...but now I see it's a nice fort, with potential to be superb; the rooves (no overhang, some are flat) and small dock let it down, IMO. This would look good on the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com.I wished we could find the contact details of the builder! Shall I frontpage it then? Or do you need to contact them first? Quote
The Daphne Blue Strat Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 daaayyymmmm. This thing is beautiful! I'm looking forward to getting all my Lego into my dorm room so I can start building again... Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted February 3, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted February 3, 2008 Shall I frontpage it then? Maybe in the near future because we just had a new headline. Let first hear what Mr. Phes thinks. Quote
El Bucanero Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 That's more than pretty decent! *wub* It's bigger than an average port. Awesome! Great build for a 13 year old. I don't recall building something like that a year ago. 8- Quote
Tanotrooper Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 lesson number 1 my dad gave me: press your legos tight. This won't leave ugly gaps open :-) It's pretty basic, I really mis yellow tones in the MOC. Otherwise it's fine. TT Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted February 4, 2008 Governor Posted February 4, 2008 This is quite a good find Fender Bender *y* I think this MOC is worthy of the frontpage after the Admiral Benbow Inn - *hint* *hint* Slyowl... Quote
Norro Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 A very striking MOC, especially considering (or perhaps because of) the lack of yellow. I also like the organic feel to this fort's expansion. Thanks for posting and God Bless, Nathan Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 NIce find Fender Bender, sure looks accurate in size and detail. *y* It just misses a proper dock IMO. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 This is an excellent fort I must say.It has a good number of guns to defend it, I like the addition of a little tavern (it should keep the soldiers happy) and the rock pieces are very well intergrated into the fort. Quote
Fordo Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Yea I saw this on brickshelf, it's very well done and I especially like the color scheme the builder chose for it. It adds a little flavor to the MOC over all its very good. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Heard it before :-) Have you been watching Teen Girl Squad, Norrington? ROFL :-D Quote
Capn Frank Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Arrrr! This be a really nice fort indeed! *y* Great Find Fender Bender. *sweet* I shall place this MOC in the Land-based MOC index right away. :-) P Quote
Fender Bender Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 (edited) I think grood is one of the greatest and goodest words that has ever come from that website X-D Other than "Burninate" and "late-three-sixty-shove-it-to-boneless'd" of course. Anyhow, back to topic, I love the baguettes in front of the fortress. Is it an official Lego Piece? Edited February 6, 2008 by Fender Bender Quote
