zero1312 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Here's the mech of the Brickster ( not the EB member X-D ), bent on tearing apart every mech in its path. Quote
UFO Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Very nice. I like the trans neon green bricks. And drills are almost impossible to get to work into a an MOC right, but this does work. (I have one, but I've never used it) But it seems like too good of a mech for such a silly minifig. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Shucks... I never had a mech built in my honor. Nice job though Zero. I'm not a big fan of space, and post very infrequently (almost never in this forum), but it looks worthy of being an Exo-Force set. I like the use of black with the silver drill bit and grey attachments. Great job! Quote
zero1312 Posted February 2, 2008 Author Posted February 2, 2008 (edited) Thank you all!!! :-$ Well, the pilot design is not final ( the torso at least) so I'll going for something else to go with the colorscheme. ;-) Oh btw, its name is Dead Metal. Edited February 2, 2008 by zero1312 Quote
ExoBuilder Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I am not going to hide my mechs from that....well, maybe I'll add some extra armor to them :-$ I love all of the drills on this mech, it makes it so fierce looking. Good job! *sweet* Quote
LuxorV Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 No, I don't think I'll hide mine *skull* Great and impressive creation you have got here 8- Quote

Batbrick Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Very nice Zero1312, I always enjoy your mechs, though I get sick of the trans green. But it works well with this one! I love that it is a close quarters mech, that is very nice, and the drill looks great. The two saws and two shoulder saws look perfect as well. My one criticism is that a close quarters mech should be really bulky, I reckon you should do a 2.0 version with more armour. Apart from that this is brilliant as always *y* Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
AgentRick Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I remember The Brickster! He was a pretty strange guy until I got to know him well. You got that mennacing look down correctly. *y* Quote
iamded Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) Wow! It looks very... vicious! Great job! *y* I love all the gears and jagged, rippy-teary type weapons. *sweet* ~Peace Edited February 3, 2008 by iamded Quote

Thick and bulky armor would slow him down. ;-) Oh, and I finished the pilot. expect pics tomorrow. Edited February 3, 2008 by zero1312 Quote
zero1312 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Hi, here's the improved dead Metal. I decided to remove the gears and replace them with some armor: And here's the pilot: Quote
LuxorV Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 The pilot is definetly better, now *y* Great job! LuxorV Quote
Batbrick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Very good improvements Zero1312! I love that you took my advice but at the same time listening to your won instincts to keep him agile and quick. Well done, he looks much better now. And the pilot is cooler too. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
MicVash Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 (edited) I admit, you did taunt me into viewing this thread because of the title. I fear nothing... It indeed does look menacing, all the sharp blades and such, but to me it's missing some raw muscle, some bulk. At first I imagined seeing something along the lines of Galactus from Marvel, but just a Mecha version. EDIT: Did not notice the improvements you made in later post. Definitely a lot better than the gears. More muscled look. Nice Job. Edited February 6, 2008 by MicVash Quote
iamded Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I fear nothing... For I am fear incarnate... The newer version looks nice and bulky, but I prefer the original, rippy-tearing version. Still, it looks great. *y* ~Peace Quote
Batbrick Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 For I am fear incarnate... Thats my line! Remember Halloween? X-D Anyway Zero1312, do you plan on any more improvements or mods? I think it needs a wee bit more leg bulk now, it doesn't look like it could support itself. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

Wheras on a game I've been playing the guy says: "I fear no evil, for I am fear incarnate!" Anyway, zero, I was thinking you could bulk out the legs like you have, but perhaps still have small cogs or something? I really like the cogs! X-D ~Peace Quote
Inertia Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I like the Drill, they're so hard to fit into everything, as previously mentioned... It looks fine to me, great work! Quote

But It's only a matter of time. ;-) Quote
zero1312 Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 *sing* Update time!!! *sing* Here's the new and improved Dead Metal: The cockpit is removeable to show the mechanics underneath: Tearing apart on!!! >:-) Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 That new cockpit took it to a whole new level. Makes it look more like a close combat ripping machine... Excelent job. Quote
DJ Force Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Wow, that cockpit piece marvellous. Perfect choice to make this battle machine really look frightening. What set did this come in? Quote
