concreteasflesh Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 are the Impulse sets: 5372 Skeleton Chariot, 5373 Knight and Catapult, and 5618 Troll Warrior set to be released in April with the rest of the 2008 line? does anyone know? and are the Skelie and Knight going to be impulse sets, or promotionals or specials as they have a differet feel, background to them then the Good Wizard 5614 and Knight 5615. If anyone has information I would appreciate it. on another note I hope the troll warrior pic is a preliminary, it would be great if it would enclude a shield and the red missle is completely troll like.. I hope the added shield goes for the rest as well.. None the less im really looking forward to all of them! *knight* Quote
snefroe Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 5372, 5373 aren't impulse sets 5618 will be released in august and does not have a shield. Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Actually, judging from the set numbers I think 5372 and 5373 are Impulse sets. But from the pictures it appears they have a higher piece count, so I would expect them to be a bit more expensive. Quote
wulf Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I can't wait, but the troll should come with a shield. Quote
iamded Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Well the Skeleton Chariot has 1 minifig, 3 weapons, a skelorse and 14 pieces. The Knight has 1 minifig, helmets and weapons, and armour, and 12 pieces, with 2 spare. They could be Impulse sets. :-/ And they definitely won't be the same price as the Crossbow Attack. ~Peace Edited January 30, 2008 by iamded Quote

You know, impulse sets are 5613, 5614, 5615 and so on, while these 53xx sets seem to be something different :-/ . Moreover, the pics we saw recently are something like twice the size of impulse boxes, so they seem to be simple small Castle sets, even if they have similar instruction booklets. Yet, I can be totally wrong :-$ . LuxorV Quote
Batbrick Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 That makes sense, but surely the Troll warrior is an impulse? Its tiny! Batbrick Something! *wacko* Quote
concreteasflesh Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Is there any pictures of the boxes for the skeleton chariot and knights and catapult? i dont think we can really judge them as impulse or not without box pictures, though i havent seen them in the retail catalog either. it would be nice if they were a plus size impulse line, with other plus size impulse sets such as the city raft 2230 though im not sure if that will be an impulse set because www.brickset.com/ lists it as helicopter and raft and the pic shows the raft and a 1, which im guessing is the instructions picture. anyways, i hope they will be impulse, if not then easily attainable sets, though they are not too important, a impulse set of the skellie and chariot with horse, you can find the figs quite easily and who really needs more catapults :-D Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 It would make sense if the skeleton chariot was a slightly larger impulse set, maybe there is a new somewhat larger impulse set, when you have greater urges to buy Lego. The knight looks to me about the same size as the other impulse set so it would make sense if it was. Maybe both of these are an Autumn release hence their not in the catalogue yet as we only know about them due to a website blunder. The troll certainly is. Quote
