On behalf of Eurobricks, I was given the opportunity to test the Buwizz brick. Thanks Jim and the guys behind Buwizz for this!

I'm not a Technic builder (but I was many, many years ago...), but I'm very interested in this theme and also on adding movement and functions in system builds. That's the main reason I was very excited to test the Buwizz brick!

My first tests with the brick were pretty bad but were due to a not updated app. So first step with your brick should always be updating both the application and the brick itself. After that, everything went fine. I won't talk about the technical specifications of the Buwizz brick (as many other have already done that, and they also did that way better that I'll ever could) but I'll first tell you what I like and dislike about the brick, and then present you the MOC I built to test it.

Good points
As a system builder, I always have a problem with available space to hide all those Power Functions motors, battery boxes, IR receiver and cables. The Buwizz brick solves almost half of these by integrating a battery box with a Bluetooth receiver in a 4x8x3 box. The application is easy to use and the brick response time is nearly perfect. Charging the brick with a micro-usb cable is great, as I could charge it almost everywhere.

Bad points
I'm frustrated by the application! There's no possibility (for now) to create your own control profile, and controlling PF lights is difficult since there's no on/off buttons. I would have liked to have more data on the brick, like the level of the battery, the software version, and so on...

I'm sure that the guys at Buwizz are working hard on the application, so I'm sure we can expect some great things in the future!

Now let's see some actual Lego! As a proud Technic Noob, I tried to stick to things I know but also to do some learning on how all those tiny gears work. That's why I decided to continue the work I started with the little drone I built some time ago. Since you all like schematics, let's start with a cool schema that will make me look like I know my Technic's basics, and then some pictures and crappy videos! (I promise, I'll shot a better one as soon as I could)

As owner of many Exo-Force sets, I love it, the movement is fluent enough, and the look is nailed! The steering looks interesting, waiting for the final video.
