trooperdavinfelth Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 (edited) Well, title says all! Is ACNielsen an authentic site? Has anyone ever won stuff from it? I've entered hundreds of set reviews and haven't gotten one e-mail! >:-( It recently opened up again; it was down for a time. But still; has anyone gotten anything from it? It should be closed down, IMO! *n* EDIT: And for those of you who don't know what it is, it's on the back of most of the recent instruction manuals. It shows the NAboo Starfighter, a City set, and a Bionicle. Edited January 26, 2008 by trooperdavinfelth Quote
Stealth Hunter Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I tried it like ten times and I never won anything :'-( . Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 Well, I just put in several Indy sets, Star Wars sets, and the Dwarf Mine, so if I don't get any e-mails, I probably won't do it again. Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Someone on Classic Castle has won, I was reading a thread about it! Apparently the odds are quite good about 1 in 50! Quote

zouave Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 If there's a chance to win something, I'll go for it. Quote
RupeeClock Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I almost won something last time .. uhm ... then i got kicked out *wacko* by some admin (don't lololol me on this). Ermm... good stats anyway: Yes! - 00.0 % No!! - 100.0 % [/Rupee] Quote
Norro Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I was really doubting them after filling in so many forms until I read of winners on Lugnet. I tried one more time and they sent me this: Very unexpected... Not my first choice (especially as there were system sets up for grabs) but hey... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Wow, you were lucky! Shame you didn't get to choose your prize, I bet you would have preferred a castle set! Still at lest you won something. 8- Quote
valentin Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 It's real, won the CTT from them last year. At first I thought it's a parts replacement email for the query I sent previously. Until the package arrived via DHL, Linky to pics. Quote
Matn Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 (edited) Wow! You had so much luck! I did it a few years ago always, but then I didn't do it anymore. Now I will do it again *begins* *wub* Oh :( It is over. They have anough forms already, it is written. ='( Edited January 27, 2008 by Matn Quote
Shadows Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Is there an age limit on this? I could have sworn there used to be, so I never bothered with it. I just went over and ran through it and was left thinking: 1. How does LEGO get any valuable information out of those poorly chosen questions? 2. If there isn't an age limit, am I supposed to still be getting my mommy to buy my LEGO? (she's gonna be so surprised X-D ) 3. If I only had two points, why did I go to all this effort to number them? :-$ Seriously though, someone tell me this is 18 and under or something. I felt silly at the end entering my email address as my parent's address and not putting in one below that, but I didn't want to get twice the spam for no good reason. They clearly think I'm 12 now. :-| Come to think of it, last night as I was buying LEGO, I probably acted 12. I think I'll go do that survey again, I've got hundreds of sets to catch up on. ;-) Quote

Sir Dillon Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I just took the test again, and noticed they don't ask for an address... How do they know where to send the sets? Quote
Norro Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Plus, Valentin's 26 and Norro's probably up there, so it could be more focused on more serious Lego collectors, and this site believes anyone 16 and down aren't serious about these sets, with which I would heartily disagree! Not quite sure what you mean but possibly answered below... I just took the test again, and noticed they don't ask for an address... How do they know where to send the sets? They (when I participated) claimed not to link your answers with you. They just choose emails randomly and then contacted you for your address and actual details... God Bless, Nathan Quote

God Bless, Nathan Well, your profile doesen't mention a birthdate, but I'm sure you're older than 26! ;-) Exactly! That's what I figured they do; If you don't get an email you must've lost. :'-( Btw, I now realize the irrelevance of the post I posted which you quoted! :-P Quote
Lt. Veers Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I'll be honest: I've never heard of ACNielson until now. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 You mean you've never looked at the back of your instruction manuals? X-O Quote
kill will Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 >:-( I just entered about 100 reviews so I sincerely hope i get a set. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Hmm, interesting! It says to enter a 4-5 digit code, where can that be located? *sweet* Quote
