Mesabi Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Hi, I can't find an answer to my question, if it's in another thread, please link it in a post. So, I generated lego directions on 1 computer, and I need to be able to put it on different computers, because It's on my PC, and I need it on my laptop. is there any way to do this? Quote
kokkie20 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) Google drive? usb stick? external hard drive? Lots of options to set it to a other pc :) Edited February 19, 2017 by kokkie20 Quote
SylvainLS Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Generated with what? LDD, LPub, Blueprint…? Quote
Mesabi Posted February 19, 2017 Author Posted February 19, 2017 LDD, and I tried using google drive, but I couldn't get it to work. I'm not sure exactly what files I need to export and how to open them Quote
SylvainLS Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 LDD’s instructions are saved in the LXF file itself. If you don’t modify the model, the instructions aren’t regenerated when you go into Building Guide Mode, so they can be read and shown by any other LDD installation. You can also export them in HTML (Generate HTML) when in that Building Guide Mode. You’ll have a “Building Instructions [your-model].html” file and a “Building Instructions [your-model]-images” directory with the images. You just need to copy them and open the html in a browser. kokkie20 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Only suggestion i would give is make a better instruction in Blueprint or Lpub as LDD has sometimes a crazy habbit of placing blocks you can't place yet ;) Quote
BubbaFit45531 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 In LDD, go to Building Guide Mode, then in the upper left corner, press Generate HTML Building Guide. I'm pretty sure it saves the HTML instructions in the My Documents Lego Creations folder somewhere. Your web browser can open it, but needs javascript enabled. From there, if you have Adobe Acrobat, you can print it straight to PDF and then save the PDF to USB flashdrive to copy it to another computer. Quote
