Col. Whipstick Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 So the castle is an actual vintage model from Lego... I don't recognise it it must be that old. Is there a year that was brought out, looks early 80's. Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Very impressive, have you had them from the original release or are they a more recent acquisition? I have to say the stickers are in very good condition. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Nice collection! I love these soldiers. You can be lucky to find them on eBay sometimes but prohibitively expensive. Quote
nausicaakro Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 Very impressive, have you had them from the original release or are they a more recent acquisition? I have to say the stickers are in very good condition. there is 4 types of minifigs in the photo... about 12 vintage knight from knight's procession 677/6077 (bought 8 years ago from a friend) the soldiers with light pink shields (coming from a original 1979 set... my first lego set :'-) ) the soldiers with dark pink shield (bought about 3 years ago from a bricklingk user... i think they are original... and coming from 1980 /late production set... the darkest color should be tipical for USA release. (can some american guy confirm this?) knight coming from Knight's Tournament set 383/6083 ... but last years i have lost the king... :'-( arrrghh! that's all nausicaakro Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Welcome to the Yellow Lego Castle Club, Usicaakro! You the man *y* . A man after my own heart *wub* . The Yellow Castle was my favorite all-time set. Some info I shared some time back: The Yellow Castle: Image Review My Classic Castle Knight Collection Yellow Castle Minifig Display Case And lastly, two pictures of the Yellow Castle prominently displayed in my Lego Floorville: Yellow Castle City Pictures shared on Displaying Multiple Themes Thread May the Order of the Yellow Castle live forever. We should create some sort of Templar Knight Order to make sure it does :-D . Quote
nausicaakro Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Woah! Thebrickster, your vintage collection is insane! you have a large army of very perfect old yellow knights! daoudbazaar Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 May the Order of the Yellow Castle live forever ;-) (i'll put in my signature)nausicaakro Touching ! That's like meeting a old acquaintance after so many years ... *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* In fact, more than a vintage, that' a must have ! *y* I got mine for Xmas '78. At that time, it was a quite huge and expensive set (approximately 42 EUR, less than 30 USD). We (with my elder brother) used to make the siege of the castle, building catapults with technic beams and rubbers to throw small balls of metal against the wall. We seldom broke a part (there were no panels at that time ... But yours is in a astonishingly good condition. My favorite knight was the templar *sing* Thanks a lot for these warming pictures ! People do own this castle to understand ... You are of the brotherhood, Sir nausicaakro. X-D Quote
nausicaakro Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 I 've put a question in first post, someone can help me? thx nausicaakro Quote
TheFrisian Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 That's a sweet collection you've got there! Even though these old sets are pretty primitive compared to current set designs, they still have lots of charm and appeal and never fail to bring a smile to my face! *sweet* The knights you referred to look kinda familiar, but I don't have a clue as to what set number they are from.
