Imanol BB Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Oh my, this truck looks terrific, that ground clearance is just crazy!!! the suspension twists a lot, i really like this truck, with 3 XL´s it must have a lot of torque, the body looks good too, it looks like an Ural truck, i hope to see some more pictures (and/or videos) of it soon, maybe a detailed look of it good luck in the truck trial (And i must say that it really impressed me). Leonardo da Bricki Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Awesome truck! This is huge, but it performs superbly. I second the request for more pics. The suspension is great, you can really see the axles range of travel at 0:59. Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Tony-23, great work) I just love that suspension. And bodywork fits perfectly. Truck looks a little weak for 3 XL motors on the video, but maybe it's because of weight and snow. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I agree that the suspension is just amazing...love it! 47 minutes ago, Victor Imaginator said: ...Truck looks a little weak for 3 XL motors... Also do I agree on this... ;-) ...@Toni-23 did you use multiple battery boxes or just one? Maybe this has anything to do with it... Quote
Aleh Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Very nibe trial truck! Looks simalar to Soviet Ural truck. As 2LegoOrNot2Lego says try to connect XL motors to two BBoxes... Looks huge and great! All as I like! Clearance is unbelievable!! Quote

nerdsforprez Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Are the tires 1.9 or 2.2 third party tires? Quote

nerdsforprez Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Not sure what rims the OP is using..... but what is commonly used are (56x34mm Medium racing tires) If this is the case then, no... they do not fit those tires. Like I said though, i am was not sure of the wheel used. The getup in the front tires (chains on 40T gear) is an interesting get-up that I have not seen before, but perhaps it is just used for aesthetic purposes. To work with 2.2 tires you need to use two Interlocked together or the porsche rims. I have not tried the Super Street Sensation wheels nor the Power Puller wheels, so these may work, but I don't know. I have written more about the use of 2.2 tires here (page 21) and also when I did a pneumatic version of the 8110 unimog using 2.2 tires a few years back. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/407959 Quote

JJ2 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 This is quite massive, did any drive-chain parts break? I'm surprised that soft springs were able to keep it suspended, I thought they would be way to soft. Quote
braker23 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 That's a cool truck, quite impressed by it's ground clearance and suspension travel, although it's a bit slow for my taste. Keep up the good work! Quote
Sylvian Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) awesome! I think it performs quite well for its size,.. Edited February 2, 2017 by Sylvian spelling Quote

Imanol BB Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 That is serious speed, and it is already a lot considering that the RC motors aren´t fully powered (yet, because of the single Li-Po), the modifications look really good so far, i hope to see more updates of this truck. Quote
