Lord Of Pies Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Well it is time for the second batch of maps, made using Col. 's fantastic template. My first maps were those of the British Isles, this time however I have made ones of Europe, including political maps of early 18th century Europe. The maps are made so that they are able to replace TLC made maps, printed on a 2x2 tile. As you can see I have not made many, but I will be adding to these every other day, with different time periods. Enjoy! Comments welcome *sweet* Quote
Captain Ka-Boom Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 (edited) Those colours in the map showing countries is annoying. Yous should make another map with just territory borders. Edited January 18, 2008 by Captain Ka-Boom Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 18, 2008 Author Posted January 18, 2008 Thanks for the comment Mr Tiber, I am glad you like them. @Captain Ka-boom, I am sorry you do not like the maps, do you prefer these:? Quote

Lord Of Pies Posted January 18, 2008 Author Posted January 18, 2008 The idea was not mine, all credit goes to Col. Whipstick for that! I noly helped woth the measurements a bit. X-O Quote
Holodoc Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Great job, LOP! *y* @Captain Ka-boom, I am sorry you do not like the maps, do you prefer these:? Better than the ones with painted countries but still worse than the ones without borders. :-D I like the second one (of the first five) best. *wub* Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted January 19, 2008 Governor Posted January 19, 2008 Excellent! More maps for our future library of maps! *y* Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Whoops, a bit late replying... Those are cool, very proportionate. Perhaps sticking to borders in red is better on this scale, could you revisit the British Isles to do the same? This is why it's worth us both doing them, the maps are in a different direction. *y* Quote

I am a bit disappointed people didn't like the political maps, as those took a while. Maybe Europe was just to crowded with countries back then! Here is a quick redo of the British Isles showing the political borders of England and Scotland: Quote
Opproperaar Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I really love what the two of you are doing. I've been fed up with he same boring map, and this is just great! I wonder, could you prehaps also do some coastal maps? like area-specific? For example a map of a bay somewhere near a coastline? or even sandbenches? Just to add some more realism :'-) In any case, keep it up! *y* *y* *y* Quote
