jonfett Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Scrap the instructions.. all those packs of bricks are what I want! And that mouse model is pretty cheesy (cheesy, I know! :D) Jon. Quote
Mr. Lego-builder Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Wait...On the LEGO.com website, it said that only people who lived in the U.S.A (like me) could see it. So, did you guys see it? I did, but only about 10 or 15 minutes out of 2 hours were based on 6-year-old Brandon's room (the so-called "LEGO room") Any why a "Mouse Hole"? I have no clue. The family was Native American and there weren't any signs of mouse holes anywhere in the show. On the other hand, however, I was moved by the story behind this episode of the show. The single mother of two children (a son and a daughter; both very young) was killed in the war in Iraq. She promised her parents (which the children are staying with now) that when she returned, she would make them a new home. That never came true because she was the first woman killed in the Iraq war. Now the people behind the show want to show the family that they care and they build a brand-spanking new home in return for the mother's bravery in defending for the U.S.A. How beautiful... :') Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2005 Governor Posted May 24, 2005 I have no idea what ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is, but the set looks stupid. Wait a minute... Is that traditional grey they're using? Quote
Darkie Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Nope. It's the new grey. I think it was just something fun to put in the kid's room. And yes, I'd consider it a lego room. Lamps, shelves, drawers all made of lego. AND he got his own Pick a Brick wall, among other things. There are plenty of sculptures all over his room. They made huge wooden bricks to make his bed. It was a great room... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2005 Governor Posted May 24, 2005 He? You referring to the mouse or a kid? The kid that Mr Bildur is referring to that I have no idea about because I've never seen this television program... Quote

On LEGO's website the description for the grey polybags said that it was in the 2003 (old) grey color scheme, not the new grey (made starting in 2004). Don't believe me? Check it out... Set 10045 -- One part of the "set" BUT... The plates, I'm not really sure about the plates (set 10060). It said nothing in the discription on the plates wheather it was old or new grey, even though I'm persuming that it should be old grey as well because it is used with the building of the mouse (having most of its body being the bricks; which is in old grey) Quote
Darkie Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Well, personally, the picture looks like the new grey to me. But I'm one of the few who really just doesn't care. When I've paid off my credit card for the month, I may just pick up this set. Phes...I was refering to the kid in the program. That child got his very own Pick a Brick wall, fully stocked. Quote

It would seem a typical way to clear out the old stock by making silly sets like this... Quote
