Yes, definitely better !

Ok, thank you! Could you explain to me what needs to be done to get the front more accurate.

Kind regards, Ellis.

Yes ofc, it wasn't straghtforward

I was speaking about this thing (a recess ?): http://www.noelshack.com/2016-52-1483132866-u-wing-sw-battlefront.png

On your model, it's too flat imo

Update #1:

Hello guys,

I have modified my model to your suggestions! I have also added images of the interior as many of you requested them! The total brick count is now: 1005.

I used this image for reference: http://img00.deviantart.net/98d0/i/2016/280/e/6/u_wing_schematics_by_ravendeviant-dak92nh.jpg

To begin with, I have lengthened the engines and added detail to the intakes based on the @ChristopherLee Arc-170 Engine design mod.  @TWP

I then slimmed the wings down as they were too thick @legoSWfan

Finally some images of the interior, I had to remove the left side of the ship to show you, as it was difficult with the LDD camera positioning.

Nice work ! Interesting evolution of your project,

The last version of the engines is better, but I think the back of the engines seems too cylindric and can be improved.

Do you have a picture with open wings ?

Wow, nice improvements :)

But... the ship seems a little too... sleek to me? In the movie the troop compartment made the ship rather fat. Maybe you could make the compartment bigger?

Thank you! Yes I do think the ship might be a bit slim. I am going to wait until I get that visual guide before I progress any further.

Update #3:

Hello, guys!

I have shortened the fuselage to improve the proportions of the model and make the troop bay seem chunkier. However, this meant I had to sacrifice room on the interior, but you can still fit around 8 minifigures in. The first image is the longer fuselage of the previous version and the second is the shortened down version I have just completed.

Look forward to see your modifications when you get the guide

Your updated fuselage makes it look much better!  Great work so far.

Actually would it be possible to remake the area around the windscreen on top with flat plates instead of the curved slope pieces you have now?  Here you can see that it's very angular and flat with no curved areas.8QZsIRv.png

Thank you! Regaring the area around the cockpit, I will see what I can do.

What bothers me most is the windscreen. It's the same story once again over, but these Xwing windscreens are soooo inaccurate, even for Xwing itself, and even more for this... i mean, just look at it :D There is zero resemblance in the shape. Its a shame that they never dare to produce a better piece, because this cockpit shape is so prominent in SW.

It bothers me also! The amount of Star Wars sets TLG produce, you would think they would design an accurate cockpit, but clearly not! I will probably have a go at designing a cockpit like the one in this thread:

I know right. They really should improve it.

But @Ellisss_2 is a great builder :)

Nice pic !
Proportions seem good, but if you plan to expose it wings open, you need a new display stand ah ah

Thank you! I can't believe I didn't realize that the display stand wouldn't work ahaha.

Kind regards, Ellis.
