El Bucanero Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Look at this fuzzy picture I found: I think it might be the stern. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Woa that looks awesome mr. Tiber! *sweet* *sweet* *sweet* Were did you get those yellow parrots? Quote
Errorist Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 *wub* and that's all i can say at this time. I'm curious to see what the end result will look like. Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 ...Were did you get those yellow parrots? Probably from a couple of Caribbean Clippers. ;-) P Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Woa that looks awesome mr. Tiber! *sweet* *sweet* *sweet* Were did you get those yellow parrots? Probably from a couple of Caribbean Clippers. ;-) Yes, like Phred stated, I did get one from the Caribby Clipper but I believe one also comes in the Islanders set Enchanted Island. Have to look into that once.. Quote
Dukesc Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 How did you get the ship to go from a 16 (at least that's what I'm assuming) wide hull, and then turn into 24 at the stern? How many center-sections is that? It appears to be around 6. Would a soldier with a shako be able to go in the lower gun deck? Are you modeling this vessel after the HMS Victory? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I wonder what ever happened to this beauty......? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 6, 2008 Governor Posted September 6, 2008 What an outstanding fellow? Are we ready to give this thread a more interesting title yet? Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 What an outstanding fellow? Are we ready to give this thread a more interesting title yet? If you know a more suitable title, be my guest. Quote
Admiral Bejaune Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Oh wow! That is a cool picture. The ship looks great. From what I can see. The curve of the ship is just perfect. How many guns is she? 64 guns. She reminds me of the ship that I have build recently, except mine is around the late 1600's early 1700's and yours is clearly 1800's. Can't wait to see more. -T Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Ah another fuzzy leaked preliminary picture, let's hope TLC doesn't want these removed as well! Looks great Glenn, what does it need to be finished? Quote
Capt. Bluebeard Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 If you know a more suitable title, be my guest. How about "Dinghy"? Bluebeard, out- Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys!It will only need string riggin, extra guns and some extra paprika, and then it will be finished! No sails? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 6, 2008 Governor Posted September 6, 2008 If you know a more suitable title, be my guest. Someone approropiately has retitled it "dinghy" - was that you? Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Someone approropiately has retitled it "dinghy" - was that you? This must be the most confuzing and fuzzy topic ever! Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 No sails? Don't sails count as extra paprika then? Someone approropiately has retitled it "dinghy" - was that you? Perhaps it was a ghost.. Was it you? Or rather, was it YOU? Quote
Capt. Bluebeard Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Don't sails count as extra paprika then? Perhaps it was a ghost.. Was it you? Or rather, was it YOU? Or maybe it was him -> Bluebeard, out- Quote
Admiral Bejaune Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 Yes, "dinghy" does not fit this vessel at all! Happy (late) b-day Bonaparte! Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 7, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 7, 2008 From what I can see from the various pictures in this thread this ship is a beauty. I'm considering building a ship that looks very much like this one (once I finally finish L'Orient). Can you share the number of mid-sections you are using? Or is that info still a secret? Quote
Norrington Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Mein Godt, Brittania Rule the Waves indeed. This no dignhy. Oh please, how many gun does she have? Please say she's a 50 or 64. You must tell me, how do you pull off the outward jutting portion the hull? It only appears to go out half a stud at a time but it doesn't look like jumper-plates would be stable enough. I am asking as I am thinking about build a ship similar in design based on wither the HMS Leopard (50) or HMS Agnamemnon (64). Like in this picture: The technique for the stern side castles look good. When will she be done? Quote
