Captain Ka-Boom Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 A decal shouldnt be hard, as for the hat you could get away with a shako... He must have found and kept it. Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted January 14, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted January 14, 2008 Or maybe he wanted us to find it... I suspect a marketing stunt. Leak one image on purpose... Smart guy, our Mr. Tiber. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 14, 2008 Governor Posted January 14, 2008 He's been taking lessons from The LEGO Group hasn't he? What could he possibly be promoting? Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The title of this thread is terrible innapropriate!! I shall change it right away. :-) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 14, 2008 Governor Posted January 14, 2008 Boat huh? I would have said it was more of a ship myself X-D Quote
Scouty Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It looks loveningly! Edit: I'd say it's a ship 8-| . Quote
Opproperaar Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It's quite simple, really ships are ocean-going vessels where as boats are merely freshwater vessels that stick to shore (in case they would ever go out on the ocean) Remember that: I get terribly frustrated when people mix up the terms, it's even on wikipedia, boat and ships are different things.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Btw: nice ship mr Tiber, but you've been showing me for some time now ;-) Quote
Captain Ka-Boom Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 So the small dinghy that went around the world was a ship. LOL *sweet* Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I didn't get to see it. :'-( Twas a great start to a fine ship. :'-) But now it's gone X-O I hope you finish this ship TLG Mr. Tiber *y* You've got a great start. P Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted January 15, 2008 Governor Posted January 15, 2008 It's quite simple, really ships are ocean-going vesselswhere as boats are merely freshwater vessels that stick to shore (in case they would ever go out on the ocean) So that's why I have trouble getting to shore! Every time we lower the long boat into the water it magically disintegrates. Should have known it was the salt X-D Quote
msavageesq Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I always thought the difference was that a ship can carry a boat, but a boat can't carry a ship? This doesn't completely hold water though, as the HMS Nottingham (a ship by anyone's estimation) got brought back to the UK after a disagreement with some rocks off of Lord Howe Island, on the deck of a larger ship. Did that make it a boat?!? :-o As another point, the Royal Navy always refer to submarines as boats, not ships. Quote
