BrickyBoy Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) Hello, after months of building, I can finally present you my latest moc: a modular museum! I've used set 60008 as a base and starting point. Didn' know how it would turn out, because I don't build in LDD first, it was just trial and error! It's for 99% completed. Maybe you can spot the missing brick(s)? Some more images from the outside can bee seen on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixyourlife/ Hope you like! The backside of the building; it's just the backside! ;-) The toilet is only visible by opening a part from the backside, the restroom is "hidden" under the stairs from the ground to the first floor. Overview of the ground floor. Entrance, gift shop and office, medieval room, ancient room: Just need to make a custom sticker for the sign above the gift shop: The first floor. Far East. And a temporary exhibition of minerals or something :p Second floor. Pirates and Indians. Acces to the attick is only for staff. The attick, used as storage. It was a fun build, but it took too much time. Next finished project will hopefully be my mod of the Brick Bank, turning it into a police station! Stay tuned! Feel free to comment. Littleworlds Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Oh wow! This looks fabulous! There is so much going on in it, all these exhibitions and how well they fit into the layout of the building. Really amazing work Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Looks like a true lego modular, nice work! Quote
Palixa And The Bricks Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Oh, yes, I like it very much! Beautiful facade with some nice details and a great colour scheme. The interior is also great. There are so many different exhibits but it doesn't look overloaded. Quote
Dazz Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 This is a nice build. I like how you fit all those different exhibitions in so little space. Just one question: what's up with the panda? Quote

lightningtiger Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Very impressive designing there 'BrickyBoy', you took that small city museum of 2013 and turned it into an awesome modular design.........Brick On 'BrickyBoy' ! Quote
peedeejay Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Very nice modular. The facade is built very clean and totally flawless. The interior is also spot on. Nice one! Quote
Mesabi Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Very impressive! I love all the attention you put into the interiors. The outside is awesome as well. I can't wait to see your next project! Quote
Legocity2713 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) This is so awesome. :) I feel like both inside and out it fits with TLG Modular Street, not an easy feat. So well detailed and still clean. Nice work. :) Edited November 11, 2016 by Legocity2713 Quote
Pickbricker89 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Great job! It's cool that you did this without LDD. I get too distracted using it. I'd rather MOC with physical bricks, but I've never made anything to this scale! Inspiring work! I also like your use of other sets within the exhibits. I've been looking for a use for the Pirate Island elements (the skull especially because it's just so cool). Keep up the good work! Quote
Wesley D Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Fantastic museum! Nice how the themes are displayed, nicely dosed with key elements so it doesn't look too crowded. Quote
Withacee Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Now, this is very impressive. You made great use of the space inside, and the details of the interior are wonderful. That "pirate room" with the skull and cannon is brilliant! Keep clicking those bricks together. Quote
JopieK Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 I like it very much! All those details, a lot of artifacts and things like the toilet and of course the modular well-looking outside. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Great job inside and out! The multiple themes on the inside are excellent. Quote
Agent 86 Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Awesome! The façade is really interesting and really fitting for a museum. I also like all of the interior details. It's a nice balance between enough detail to evoke a museum without being too cluttered that the details are lost. If it was an official Modular, I'd buy it without any hesitation. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Great modular, the arched window on the top floor is definitely my favorite part of the facade, the brown frames looks nice there. The warm colors overall look perfect here. The interior is great as well; the space is used very effectively. Quote
Zork Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 For me the facade is the eyecatcher - really like the way you built it. Your MOC reminds me a little bit of the movie "a night at the museum" - in a positive way. Imagine all those minifigs become alive at night... Quote
BrickyBoy Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Thank you all for the lovely comments! Gives me energy to continue! Maybe, one day I'm going to expand this museum, making it wider...? Quote
Cooper Boyd Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 So cool! reminds me of my museum here at home. Great MOC Quote
Grover Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Wow! This is awesome! I really like how you spaced everything out like a real museum instead of trying to jam as much in as you could. All the special pieces and minifigs on display are great! This is definitely Lego modular-worthy! Quote
