Well, having seen Col. Whipstick's fantastic attempt at making maps that are able to fit official TLC ones, I decided to make ones for the British isles. It took a while, about one hour or so, but I feel that it is quite accurate as far as borders and general shape goes! Their are maps showing English borders (pre-1707), Scottish borders (pre-1707), The Kingdom of Great Britain (1707-1800) and The United Kindom of Great Britain and Ireland (1800-1922).

Thoughts/opinions/comments/criticism welcome!

*Special thanks to Col. Whipstick for letting me use his template*

You don't want to see my British Isle version, too much of a squeeze. :-/ Yours seem a lot more proportionate Lord of Pies! Did you also use MSPaint? How do those look printed out because I'm wondering if working on such a small scale our stuff will end up like an ink blob? :-/

Thanks!

About it being a bit to detailed, I am going to experiment now and see how they look!

Edit: Update! (note, that it is not stuck on to the tile)

I may be slightly biased, but I like the one without borders or red "Imperial" territory :)

There's something funny going on in Sligo though, with that stray pixel in Donegal. Also Galway bay seems to have moved south!

Maybe if we got a few different maps that could warrant a Maps page on Classic-Pirates.com. What do you lads think?

Already working on it Phessy, done about half a dozen different locations so far, in plain, antique and showing territorial colours. I haven't rushed ahead because there wasn't much response on my post nor on Lord of Pies maps.

I'll do another one or two, if Col. Whipstick is okay with that. As the Colonel mentioned the maps haven't gained much attention which is a bit disappointing, maybe when their are a few more maps available it could warrant a page?

Well, I think these are great! It looks like a considerable amount of effort has been put into these, and they're all very accurate for about 1.5cm
