Admiral Giddens Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hiya, Put together a "devolved" version of the Classic Starfleet Voyager ship (the best of the best CS ships there ever was). It's 2x longer than the original with less cargo room. PCS is moving more towards the CS shape. Twas a fun build. Click here for the whole set. http://flickr.com/photos/fazoom/sets/72157603682704701/ Hope you enjoy it. Quote
snefroe Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 congratulations! this is actually one of the only "rereleases" of a classic space set that could follow into the old set's footsteps! it maybe is a bit too flat for me, but it embodies the old spirit of classic space into a new modern uniform pretty well! Please send this to lego with a note saying this is what i want them to release as space set instead of MM. Quote
Tohst Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 This is incredibly beautiful. The only thing I don't like is what it is carrying as cargo. The tool box/death from above combo in the original holds a deep place in my heart. So, if Lego sold this as a set, would it be $70? $100? more? Because I would buy two quicker than any one of the cheaper MM sets. Yes, even if the clear windscreens were made orange. -Tohst Quote
WarnIcarus Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 This is the stuff LEGO needs to start releasing. Quality over quality. I don't care if the MM jelies save LEGO a ton of money every year, the fact is the quality is lacking, MOCs like this make me hope LEGO is watching. Very well done. Incredibly smooth. Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Fantastic build, and great techniques. I really need one (or ten) of those cockpits. Thanks for posting it here! Quote
Corvus Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 The first thing I noticed was how clean and dust free it is. *wub* I'm jealous... I'm in love with this ship. I think it's the favorite of any I've seen (Even though I haven't seen many...), and I'm fascinated by this ship. Just...wow. Will Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 It definately has the Admiral Gidden essence all over it ;-) I love that cockpit windsheild, its a pity I missed out on it. |-/ I Especially like how its so sleek using very little snot techniques, and all the little greebles are always appreciated in my eyes :-$ Quote
