Defence: Tower Phase III

Second of the three Blood lords, and oldest of the three, The Key-Keeper is chief of the Teridyan prison fortress, and the secret M.I.S. prisons. Under his watch no one has escaped to date, the towers of the prison reserved for the worst criminals, and enemies of the M.I.S. .

The crows of the first Blood lord keep a close eye on the fortress.

This build took a bit longer than the rest due to the awkward shape at the bottom, and my lack of inspiration till I found the large brown arches and decided to put them to good use.

I really wanted a full interior on this build, but part limitation and a mess of parts to hold the bottom half together wouldn't allow, so I settle for just a small interior in the tower. The stone walls were heavily inspired by Blufiji and his incredible Frost spear tower.

-Thanks for looking!

Awesome build, tough there are a lot of wonderfull details the one I love the most is defenitely the rounded roof, especially at the corner is is just jaw-dropping!

The top part of the tower looks great, but I am not sold on the bottom part. It seems like it does not quite fit with the top, and the curved roof (while impressive) doesn't work with everything else being square (in my opinion). It still looks good, though, and there is much to like about it. The crenelations at the top are the highlight for me.

Thank you, took a while to get the shaping to a point where I was happy with it :sweet:

Thanks, and I see what you mean, I just really wanted to try something different for this one

Wow! I love that roof! I will have to use your idea for something soon... Very nice tower. The banner has become your trademark element.

Thanks, use it as much as you like  While I do have a few green and yellow flags, they only come in one size, whereas with these banners the size and width can be changed to pretty much any size :classic:

Wow this is great. As I said on flickr, the roof is amazing but the more I see this build the more I fall in love with the stone work. Great build overall:laugh:

Thank you, the stone technique is borrowed from Bulfiji, but it's pretty part consuming so not sure I'll be using it too much unfortunately :sceptic:

I just love the way you did the roof here!  Great shaping!  Some really nice texture too, overall a neat little build!

Thank you, glad the roof was worth the trouble :classic:

I think this build deserves some better photos, it's great! I quite like the rounded roof myself, and think it fits nicely into Mitgardia while still being something new and unique  Excellent battlements on the tower, and again I like that window design :classic:

Wonderful way to finish off the tower phases, Legofin! The mix of stone and wood in the walls looks great, and the wall texturing is superb. My favorite section has to that rounded roof though, it fits perfectly here

Thanks, well this is one of the rare occasion a build of mine has remained intact after photography, so if I can find a way to take better photos maybe I'll take a few more of this  I wanted it to be unique in a way, not just a normal tower, and decided to try the window technique again but with bars, glad you like it :classic:

Thank you, glad it fulfilled it's role :sweet: The rounded roof really was the main part here, I built it first and then the rest around it :classic:

Im glad I could be an inspiration for this build sir. As I said on flickr, that curved roof is wonderful, and I like how you've taken my technique design and expanded upon both concept and size. Wonderful!

Well Frost spear is probably my favourite build of yours, I've always admired the technique for walls, and thank you! :sweet:
