The Maestro Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 For the Black spire Greedy for gold and power captain Pillock abandoned his lord believing that joining the black spire would make him rich. Leading a small band of loyal men and his nephew Doyle, he left Avalonia behind traveling through the Siccus badlands unfortunately losing two men to a tribe of angered orcs. Eventually they finally ended up in the Kelra labyrinth. Using Doyle's map to navigate the labyrinth they safely traversed the normally dangerous paths. Amazed (no pun intended) at their quick progress the band of men grew merry and overconfident. When they reached a rickety bridge over a deep abyss the only one who was worried was Doyle, he tried to warn his uncle who was unfortunately to drunk to notice. Showing Doyle he had nothing to fear Pillock crossed the bridge gracefully, letting out a triumphant cry once he was on the other side. Next came Doyle who cautiously tip toed across the bridge, eventually making it to solid ground. The three soldiers who followed where to careless to tread carefully and stormed on all together. Unfortunately the bridge was a little bit too rickety... The minifig posing was really fun to do. Not the best photos either bet I kind of just wanted to get them up on here as soon as possible. oh well, I think it turned out alright for a rushed moc, not my best but not my worst. Thanks for a great competition, gave me something to do over the holiday Quote
Legofin2012 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 A fantastic build! The ruins and rock work look great, but the best by far has to be the collapsing bridge and falling soldiers, with the black bottom giving it depth, and of course the gruesomely awesom impaled minifig. A great enty for the minichallenge! Quote
TitusV Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 absolutely lovely! The colourscheme works great and you're really good at building ruins, but the best part is defenitely the bridge! I can feel the action coming out of my screen! Quote
Blufiji Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Great ruins, good job on the rickety bridge and minifig posing. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Neat ruins, and I like the orc spying on what's happening The bridge certainly steals the show, and your head choices for the minifigs are very fitting Quote
en_zoo Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Very nice bridge indeed as well as the ruins. Also love the details: how the tree comes out of the wall, the orc, that poor impaled man! Quote
Henjin_Quilones Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Very nicely done! The action looks great, especially the very unfortunate impaled soldier. The right-at-the-moment posing is superb. Good job. Quote

I didn't pay close attention to the colour scheme but that great that you like it. I agree about the bridge. 10 hours ago, Blufiji said: Great ruins, good job on the rickety bridge and minifig posing. Thanks Blufiji, I always enjoy creating ruins and the minifig posing is always something I enjoy. 8 hours ago, soccerkid6 said: Neat ruins, and I like the orc spying on what's happening The bridge certainly steals the show, and your head choices for the minifigs are very fitting Thanks sk, the orc was just a last minute detail that I put there for fun. I always love using appropriate expressions on minifigs 7 hours ago, en_zoo said: Very nice bridge indeed as well as the ruins. Details are always the things I look foward to in a build. 5 hours ago, Henjin_Quilones said: Very nicely done! The action looks great, especially the very unfortunate impaled soldier. Leonardo da Bricki Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 This is great! I love how you captured the action of the collapsing bridge. The impaled man is awesome! Quote
LittleJohn Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Excellent build! The texturing of the ruins is great, and I like the tree growing out of the stone Very nice collapsing bridge and rockwork too Quote
Brandon Stark Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Great ruins. I really like the tree that is growing out of one of them. I also like how one side of the ruins is leaning to the side, and I also like the rope bridge. The rocks on the abyss is also very nice, and adds to the dangerous feeling of this build. Quote

But I liked it and decided not to fix it Quote
Mpyromaxos Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Great creation! Very good work with the demolished bridge an the rocks in the scene!! Quote
Garmadon Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 One of my favorite builds for this minichallenge, Maestro, the rocks and ruins are excellent (that tilt is really neat, and makes it look like the whole build is about to topple over into the abyss! ), and the minifig-posing and collapsing bridge are superb as well! The black water, rocks sticking out, and vegetation overgrowing everything add a lot to the atmosphere! Excellent job all around! Quote

Thanks Garmadon, although I originally meant the black water to be a very deep abbyss similar to the dragons pit in Brofendurs Kitchen, I like your idea just as much Otherwise im glad you liked it Quote
