Hello all!

I'm trying to make a video from many Bluerender renders of an LDD model.

Sometimes, it is centered correctly and rotates.

Sometimes, the center of rotation is to the left/right (or in front of/behind) the model.

Is there any way to put model directly to the center (in LDD)?

Maybe some hack with LXF, writing direct values to the attributes of some tags?

And is there way to fix the camera to 3/4 position, like it's working in POV-RAY.

You need to place the center of your model on 0,0,0.

Either use the developper mode, which has the axes drawn in 0,0,0, or create a new file, place a part in the center of the virtual baseplate and then import your model and place it above your reference part.

For the camera, you can still edit the LXFML inside the LXF, copy the Camera tag’s attributes from another LXF or calculate them yourself from a position.

The method I use relies on having a keyboard with a numpad and a mouse touchpad (otherwise you'll need a steady hand to click the mouse button without moving the cursor):

Select all bricks in the scene, then click and drag them a bit to "lift" them off the grid and follow the mouse cursor once you let go of the mouse button. At this point you can position the camera directly overhead the model and line it up with the edges of the screen if you want.

The "5" key on the keyboard numpad usually centres the view on a model, but when none of the bricks are actually on the grid, it behaves differently - restoring the 3/4 view instead. Once that's done, care is needed to click the mouse and "drop" the bricks back onto the grid without moving them somewhere you don't want (mousepads, yay). Finally press numpad 5 again to re-centre the view as usual.
