Hi!

Last year I’ve created SUV Racer powered by four Buggy-motors http://www.eurobrick...52#entry2220285.

And this time I’d like to show new prototype – Off-road Truck powered by six buggy-motors.

I’ve mounted heavy Power Puller tires to lower the center of gravity. The gear ratio is 1:9 from slow output. The motors are powered by three RC-units. One M-motor is used for steering (auxiliary output).

The exterior is my fantasy. Dimensions: 57x27x28 cm, weight – 3.8 kg.

In spite of strange design, I like this model because it’s very cool to play with it. It is very powerful and still rather fast truck.

Thanks for watching! I hope you like it too :)

Owhh those batteries... Melting as butter in the hot sun.

Cool creation, and gearing down those buggy motors is a very clever way to gain torque and speed together!

I only am afraid that those 16 tooth gear (or have they 12?) will suffer from the forces. Did you experience that?

Keep the good work up!

Thanks for comments!

The load is really too high for Lego gears :(

Not bad for a demonstration of the motor capabilities, but it is not their element. On the off-roads rules XL and L motors. Maybe I'm carp, but the roof of a tall cab, there can be placed a second row of seats like in IMax :classic:

I have been wanting to comment on this for a while..... just have not had the chance. Not only do I think this is a cool project, I think it raises some cool points for the future projects for many. BuWizz will be coming soon, and like this project, I am sure there are many that either have a project in mind, if not already made, and just waiting for BuWizz to release (I know I do. I have something already build in LDD waiting for BuWizz. I won't be sharing it until it releases). Buwizz will be lots of fun, but like this project, I think it will really test the limits of Lego elements. XL motors already twist axles, RC motors under high loads strip gears..... what else is going to happen with Buwizz? I think the third-party market for other things like metal axles, some pieces, tires, and perhaps even shocks might rise. As long as one is not purist I think projects like BuWizz will really open doors for some cool builds that may be actually fun to drive.... as long as one doesn't have a problem with perhaps breaking a Lego element or two......
