For the RC tracked racer, what about using a similar setup with the RC track turbo's integrated PF package, that could keep the price low enough for a decent tracked vehicle and introduce new PF elements. That set only costed $39.99. I could see it being possible to build barebones chassis with an extra 350-450 parts. bb396c01.jpg

True and would be great if they made something like this again, but with PF 2.0 coming out soon, why make something new for PF 1.0? Just joking, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the price and "RC" in the same line.

that is what i was thinking they would do... but i am still hoping for ordnary motors in that set because it would be a bargain at €80! it would be a great starter kit for people that wanna make rc cars too!

I have that part and it is terrible, it only runs on 4.5v and the steering is incredibly weak

I mean possibly a new dual motor setup with IR reciever and built in battery compartment, basically just the drive motors, minus the steering.

is the power output to the rear wheels weak too? or is it high rpm and low Ncm.

both, it does not have much torque and spins at about half the M-motors speed.

Also it does not have a differential and the front wheel hubs squeak.

I have seen it in action and it seemed doing pretty well, it wasn't mine but it looked fast

On topic:

If the rumour about the airport rescue vehicle are true, I wish to know how close the reverse-engeenered version got

The vehicle it powered wasn't particularly big, almost minifigure-scale:

I have the base and while it is not the best, it is a great way to RC some creator sets (like the new motor home!) so it has its uses :)

also if you get some ni-zn 1.6v rechargable batteries to put in the battery compartment it will work even better! :D

Yet another helicopter? Whoopee. That's a whopping SIX since 2010, not counting B-models. If I really liked helicopters, I'd be ecstatic, but... sigh.

And..., a 'Helicopter sets' usually have another 'Helicopter' for the B-Model. (Though i don't have any helicopter sets )

All those helicopters since 2010 and not one with a cyclic control, only one with (a mechanically unrealistic) collective pitch control, non with pitch control on the tail rotor. I doubt we'll get any of that in a first wave helicopter unless it's a first half flagship, but still I would love to see another helicopter is it did have these functions, and maybe even some form of flex or cable system?!
