For this MOC I decided to a "set style" build. To me that means relatively simple styling, no baseplate / minimal landscape, and of course a small "opposing force" to create an action scenario. This build is inspired by the classic gatehouse type of set, most recently seen in 70402, but with the styling of Jestro's fortress.

Nice. I especially like the lava eating through the one wall. The vehicle is nice, but it needs some kind of ridiculous weapon function to really fit in with the theme.

I like it! It has a lot more depth than most sets like this - I like the attempt to fill it up out in the back and yet still leave it open like an official set. I'd buy it!

This looks fantastic. You really did a great job fitting it to the style of Jestro's lair while still keeping it distinct (i.e. using 90-degree angles instead of 135-degree angles on the towers).

I feel like it might benefit from using a bit more Tr. Bright Orange. For instance, if the Dark Stone Grey 1x1 round bricks that the spikes are attached to were swapped with Tr. Bright Orange 1x1 cones, it would better match the colors of Jestro's lair as well as the smaller encampment in the Black Knight Mech set. A bit more red wouldn't hurt either, but I'm not sure where best to integrate it since you'd want to keep it as an accent color rather than as broad fields of color.

The use of the Transparent Bright Orange 5x5 saw blade piece to hold spare weapons is very inspired! I also like the squirebot cart, which really feels like a great modernization of one of the oldest siege weapons, the battering ram.

Well done the colors/pieces used does fit the style.

We really need more building-focused sets like this, fortifications/towers/civilian structures.

looks nice, but too many minifigs for an official set ;)

I like the little rocket car thing, and the lava flow down the right hand side.

I like such designs - simple, cool and filled with interesting functions! It's very inspiring for me when something interesting is made of not too many bricks, and every brick perfectly takes its place :)
