hachiroku Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I built this Marshmallow Man using the Giant Man concept. o hope you like it: Mr. Stay Puft (out of a Giant-man and with instructions!) by hachiroku24, en Flickr Mr. Stay Puft (out of a Giant-man and with instructions!) by hachiroku24, en Flickr If Giant-Man comes from a minifig, I think that, since a minifig of Mr Stay Puft exists, then, it would have sense that the Stay Puft is like Giant Man in the "Lego universe". Well, in the Lego Dimensions videogame Mr Stay Puft appears really giant, but mine is a cool experiment too Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Brilliant! Although the face looks a bit strange, I dunno if there's a better solution for it. Quote
hachiroku Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Brilliant! Although the face looks a bit strange, I dunno if there's a better solution for it. What do you mean? Except the mouth, I see it very close to the movie: Maybe the base should be less round, I don't know. Any advice is welcome. Quote
Actor Builder Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I like it! I agree with the face criticism, however. Since you've asked for advice, I'll offer my two cents. I think you may have spent a bit too much effort on trying to make the face appear rounded. I would have made it more flat on the front, with subtle sloping on the sides. His head is more of a rounded-off rectangle shape than a circle or an oval. That should make it easier, as well as look better. Besides that, it looks great! Quote
Andy D Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Great LEGO rendition of the Marshmallow Man! All with standard parts. Andy D Edited August 5, 2016 by Andy D Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 You beat me too it! I really like the figure, especially the upper chest and the way you made it. I think the hat is great as well. The only thing I'd do would be to flatten the face a bit. Other than that I like it. Now I need to finish my Galactus before some one beats me to it again... Quote
Vindicare Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 That is quite fantastic really. Nice work. As I'm about to embark & purchase his Dimensions pack, this has me extra intrigued. Quote
Mesabi Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Except the mouth, I see it very close to the movie: Agreed, the build is great, but the stay puft man needs the horrifying smile Quote
SeanJFry Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Nice work. :) As Mesabi wrote - only missing that smile. Quote
r5-j2 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Really, really nice work! , but as the joker said "why sso serious, lets put a smile on that face!!"..and if you can`t ,don`t worry about it (maybe try flattening it, as already suggested ), it`s still a hundred times better than the official Lego minifig!!
