At first I thought the sword had been customised and glued to the arm, but now I see he's just holding it. Whew! The skull and Batmask go great together, and those pumpkin heads look creepy on anything! :-D Nice! *y*

Oh, and technically it's 3 of your custom figs. ;-)

This would be what we call in the world of Xevoz, a kitbash, i.e. mixing original parts and pieces together to make something new, as opposed to a custom, where paint, sculpey, craft knifes etc. would come into play.

Don't worry, I don't cut. I'm glad you like the skull and batmask combo. I agree with the Pumpkin heads, they're sorta like Jack-of-all-trades!

Oh sorry, three of my custom figs :-| :-P *sweet*

I like the Batman knight. There was actually a comic based in the past where Batman was a knight. I can't remember the name of it though... :-|

Thanks SirNadroJ!

Errr... so what is custom then? If there are no part mods, new parts or paint jobs with these figs then they are MOCs, not customs, and should be moved to the "Other Themes" forum... 8-|

Thanks. Well, we'll let Hinckley explain it.

If you mean official figs from LEGO sets, no-those would not be custom. If you mean figs that you put together by mixing heads, legs, torsos and accessories in ways that don't appear in official LEGO sets, then yes-you may post those here. If you look around this forum you will see several custom figs that were made in this fashion...

Oh. Well since that's what he said then I stand corrected. Can't say that I agree with his point though... 8-|

To me a custom should at the least use a part beyond its intended use. (Most of Chucks MOCs are like that. ;-))

Well there are true customs, which involve painting, cutting, etc. Then there's a purist custom, which is a custom fig created from official pieces.

I'm confused. Does that mean that a MOC is a purest custom as well? I thought this forum was supposed to be a haven for non-purist customisers.

I call these kitbashes. *sweet*

I see kitbashing as a destructive activity. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just that kitbashing to me is when you get a model kit and break and/or glue pieces together for use in ways beyond their original intention. Since this is neither destructive, nor is it use beyong the original intention, it's just a MOC to me.
