vangelisbricks Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 As I was designing the Space Police vector logo, I thought I should create a font out of it. So, here it is the Space Police Font (version 0.4). BS folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=290906 or high-res-pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/oleth/Mi...cepolicettf.png Installation: Windows 1) download the font to the directory you like, but NOT in the c:/windows/fonts directory 2) then copy the file to the c:/windows/fonts directory To be honest, I have no idea about fonts or any typo/LaTex experience. This is the first font I ever made, which means that some things possibly need more tuning. So, your feedback will be appreciated :-) "Space Police" was designed with InkScape and then forged into a font with FontForge Quote
Starwars4J Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Awesome, thanks for sharing and welcome to EB, oleth Quote
Quarryman Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Great work on this font oleth :-) (and now I see that it was you who posted good looking vector versions of miscellaneous LEGO logos too, which everyone should take a look at if they haven't already ;-) ) How'd you make it?He said it in the last sentence of his post:"Space Police" was designed with InkScape and then forged into a font with FontForge Quote
vangelisbricks Posted December 26, 2007 Author Posted December 26, 2007 Thanks for your kind comments :-) Each character was designed separately in InkScape. Then each character (I put one character in each SVG file) was imported in FontForge. Then I set some simple options like the left & ight margin of each character and then FontForge converted the data in a TrueType font file. It's quite straightforward. Of course there are plenty of other options and tuning that can be applied but I don't know that much! Quote
