PSPguy Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) Well my theory is if you tape the whip down uncoiled after some time the whip will shape like that. I just started now and I will post pics of the whip in about 12 hours. ;-) :-) EDIT: This whip taped: Edited December 24, 2007 by PSPguy Quote

Batbrick Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Thats a great idea! I reckon it'll work too *y* The anticipation is killing me! Christmas that is :-P But I also eargerly await the result of this. Nothing to say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Johnny 5 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Hmm that is a good idea. I was thinking maybe slightly heat the plastic in some places. I will await your result though. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 24, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 24, 2007 Somethings I change the form of Lego parts by heating them with a hair dryer. I think in this case, heating the part will help changing the shape. Quote

Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
SirNadroj Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Good luck with that; it looks promising. *y* Personally, I wouldn't try to uncoil it. I'd just use this if I wanted an uncoiled whip: Quote
PSPguy Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 Somethings I change the form of Lego parts by heating them with a hair dryer.I think in this case, heating the part will help changing the shape. I might try that when I get a second whip. Remember guys, I only have one whip but if you guys post a theory then why dont you give it a go with your theory and see if it works better. Good luck with that; it looks promising. *y* Personally, I wouldn't try to uncoil it. I'd just use this if I wanted an uncoiled whip: I would use that part but wheres the fun in just geting it? I want a challenge. Plus the ends are different Lordan. ;-) PS: The results are in!!! X-O You know the drill. Click smiley THEN watch vid. Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) Oh well...It sorta worked... :-/ Keep experimenting, I'm, sure one of your crazy methods will work! Edited December 24, 2007 by Lord Of Pies Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Coiling it the OTHER way and holding it there for a day MIGHT do it - logic tells me it would snap back straight - but I wouldn't recommend it if it's your only whip in case I'm wrong... Dr. S. Quote
PSPguy Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) Its been 1 hour since day 2 has started I will keep checking in every now and now. @Sinister: I tried that but its just too hard to work with thats where I got this idea. Edited December 24, 2007 by PSPguy Quote
SirNadroj Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) Try uncoiling it the opposite way, so it looks like the same curly-Q, but backwards. I would leave it like that for 12-24 hrs. May work, may not. Edited December 24, 2007 by SirNadroj Quote
