Kai NRG Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hear ye, hear ye! Corrington and Carno have each presented their case! Now it is up to you to decide. Which terrific trio will win the day and sit down in the Pine Tree throne? Please base your vote on which group of three builds, taken together, is best. Consider the following criteria: The stories. The presentation. And most importantly, the builds. Several of these MOCs are more than meet the eye upon first glance; so we encourage you to check out each MOC's thread and spend a bit of time considering your decision. Also, please remember that each team was asked to incorporate each of the following in their total of three builds, and please take into consideration their effectiveness in doing so: The Jury Queen Annette Pine Trees Captain Whoknowswho Please do not vote based on: Your opinion of which side of the case is right in character. Your personal preference for Corrington or Carno. The poll has two questions: one is Corrington vs. Carno; the other pits all six builders against each other and is simply for fun. No DBs at stake, nothing at all except for the builder's ego. So, without further ado! Corrington presents! 1) Puvel - "Protecting Her Majesty's Honor" 2) Captain Dee - "Her Majesty's Melodic Musings" 3) Bregir - "In Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service" Carno presents! 4) Maxim I - A Brilliant Idea! But... 5) Garmadon - Dashing Out 6) Jacob Nion - A Matter of the Heart That's all, folks!
SilentWolf Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 You posted Corrington's builds bawkward. Ithe should be Puvel, Captain Dee, then Bregir per the order they listed and the storyline.
Elostirion Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Just gotta say: You all did a phenomenal job in this mini-challenge, really all of you, and noone deserves to not win here. Amazing work from everyone!
Kai NRG Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 You posted Corrington's builds bawkward. Ithe should be Puvel, Captain Dee, then Bregir per the order they listed and the storyline. Good point. Sorry about that. Somehow I missed that reading the stories (I read them all backwards too) and then of course missed it here. I think it would be easier not to change it, but if the Corrington team thinks the mistake might affect their score, it can be done. Let me know please.
Bregir Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 We would like to have them ordered correctly. Corrington does not believe in "the easiest" ;)
Kai NRG Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 We would like to have them ordered correctly. Corrington does not believe in "the easiest" ;) In fact it was easier than I had expected because only you and Puvel had to be switched so I didn't have to adjust the votes manually. Done anyhow!
Maxim I Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Daamned, Corrington received 5 votes in a row :o such an exciting vote :D I kinda feel like the most underrated builder seeing those temporary results...
SilentWolf Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I am disappointed that with a name like Whoknowswho, there was not one reference to "who's on first base".
Captain Braunsfeld Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Tough call, guys. There's a bunch of great MOCs involved here!
Captain Dee Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) It's good to finally see some comments here, and also good to see a close race and not another landslide... And I finally got the rest of my story posted about a day behind. Good work from everyone. Close competition makes for a far more interesting challenge. Builds and stories are good. Maxim, I wouldn't fret the individual vote. Yours looks great, especially the mosaic - and being a remake of Ska's build from the sign-up topic is really neat. Your version of Her Majesty looks perfect too; since I was including several ladies in mine I wanted her to look sufficiently different, and I have several CMF Queens... Jacob's courtroom is fantastic and makes excellent use of techniques, muted colors, and minifigs. And that story is impressive. Garmadon's pine trees are nice, and the action scene and minifigs look great... but I must confess to being puzzled as to why the king is travelling alone... But still a fine build. Bregir's courtroom looks good and those minifigs look just like a bunch of crass Carnians. I'm impressed that this was done with a greatly reduced collection. Puvel's tower is beautiful and that tree is neat. Those minifigs look great; Hook's hat is perfect for Captain Whoknowsnothing. Overall a nice arrangement. And as for that Captain Dee fellow, someone should kindly tell him that he has a lot to learn... And while she anxiously awaits the verdict, Her Majesty Queen Annetta has busied herself with reading that literary masterpiece, The Art of War and Peace in Our Time. Good work everyone!! Edit: misspelled a name... Edited June 8, 2016 by Captain Dee
