n8udd Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Hi, My friends own a food outlet, and have asked if I can make up a Lego model of it. I've modded a couple of sets before, mostly adding backs to open backed sets, but never attempted anything like this (mostly because I didn't know where to start!). I've seen and been extremely impressed with this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=121165, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for making IRL into Lego? I've included the very basic layout of the building from LDD PS, I'm planning in LDD, then planning on Bricklinking the parts I need. I'll also need to source some custom stickers/decals for their logo. Any help/advice is appreciated! Quote
iammac Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Decide what scale you want to build this at. If you don't want to go Full-Modula-Mode, you should decide what details of the building are most important to its look. Focus on those details. I have kept photos of what I'm replicating on hand for reference. If you're going very "hard-core," get measurements of the building and make sure the scale is right. I would continue to look around at the wonderful MOCs the users here post. Looks like you're off to a good start! Quote
