Belloq Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Lego sculptures? :-P I believe the correct term is stud or studless, but for the purpose we will use smooth or chunky. For those of you who don't know what this means, well it means that when you build or are looking at lego MOCS, Vignettes, Sculptures and other lego stuff, do you like the studs to be visible or do you like all surfaces to be smooth? Also do you like sculptures and the other stuff to look blocky or smooth? Would you rather see a dome that looks like a real-life dome or one that looks blcoky and lego-ish? I like my studs to be visible but sometimes I dislike the blocky structure if it takes away part of the sculpture's realistic feel if thats what its going for, but sometimes a cross between thee two also looks great. On a final note, How do you like like your PB and J sandwich? Open faced or close faced? Smooth or creamy PB ;-) ? Jelly or no jelly? White or other bread type? Rectangles or triangles (how its cut)? With or without a crust? :-D Quote

I like my PB and J to be jelly with crust and I like it to be one piece X-D ;-) Quote
Belloq Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 A yes, the classic sandwich! So far we have 1 SNOT! C'mon people, let us have it! Tell me what you think! Quote
SupremeCommmanderGrievous Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 1 for studs! I think unless there is a specific look you are trying to get. Studless doesn't feel as...LEGO to me. As for sandwhiches, I like only smooth peanut butter on uncut whitewheat bread. (or even better, four slices of ham on uncut whitewheat bread. :'-) :'-) ) Quote
Capn Frank Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 ...I like my PB and J to be jelly with crust and I like it to be one piece X-D ;-) Hey me too Exo-builder! X-D Sometimes i like my bread toasted too *wub* And chunky is always my favorite ;-) Oh yeah, and about studs... I like to have a studless look on my sculptures and whenever else possible. Although it's rarely possible in pirate sets (but it gives them a rougher look *y* ) I like my MOCs to look realistic and sometimes make them look like they're not lego :-$ P Quote
jedikermit Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I prefer chunky (studs showing) for my LEGO. As for my peanut butter sandwiches, I prefer creamy peanut butter and honey, with crusts, closed-face, with some Fritos. Not in the sandwich, but alongside it. Quote

Sometimes sculptures do look better when there's a few studs showing. By the way, who here likes the brothers brick? They have some AMAZING sculptures there. They just posted a picture off a super cool building called Chateau Satan! >:-) Wow, just, wow! A few months ago they posted an amazing guitar sculpture, almost stud-less, looked a lot like a real guitar. As for the Fritos jedikermit, thanks for clarifying everuthing, I was a bit scared at first, Fritos with PB...Sounds interesting though, might give it try! X-D Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 (edited) I like to combine, some studs show, but no studs on the detail work. Its still lego, and lego has studs *sweet* Edited December 11, 2007 by Captain green hair Quote
Siegfried Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I like both... but if I have I choice I go for studs. I recently made a near studless MOC for a laugh... but that's only until I need the tiles! :-D As for Peanut butter and Jelly/Jam.... that's one of those Yank things that I just don't get. Put them together and the flavour is ruined. I much prefer cheese and vegemite... X-D Quote
SlyOwl Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) I much prefer cheese and vegemite... X-D :-X Me? Chunky models, with smoooooth bits where it looks good... chunky(ish) peanut bitter with jam (condiment, =jelly, not "gelatin dessert" |-/ ) SlyOwl Edited December 23, 2007 by SlyOwl Quote
