Sir Stig Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Quick question.....have the "approval" bonus dubloons been rewarded for FB 3+ that were posted since the beginning of the game? Just looking over my speadsheet and I have nothing entered for them yet. For that matter, perhaps we really need a player to volunteer to be the "bank" or "registrar" to at least give us a check on our actual balance once a month or so.....or perhaps this could be done "on request" to verify a player's numbers. I know I suck at keeping track of my bank acct. in real life, I can't imagine I'll be much better in game...lol Yes, please. I would very much like this. I would pay real in game dbs to have an accountant... Quote
Bregir Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Have you guys seen the spreadsheet I uploaded some weeks back in the general BoBS thread? It might help you to easily keep track of your accounts... (although the new rules might call for a slight adjustment) Quote

It might help you to easily keep track of your accounts... (although the new rules might call for a slight adjustment) I don't know. I can't seem to find it. Only seen the february scorecard, as far as I remember. There were some errors, and it is so unspesific, so it is hard to see if everything is correct. I am also unsure about which builds I licenced. And there is always the posssibility to fill out a form wrong or forget to post in thread and such. And I can't see transfers done. Sometimes I forget, so I need to know, basically everything and start to keep an account. The accounting got more complicated than anticipated Edited April 3, 2016 by Sir Stig Quote

The accounting got more complicated than anticipated This hangs me up as well....it can be hard to remember if I've done all the steps....well, actually, it's just the "license" part....everything else (original post, post in the freebuild or challenge thread) is easy to check...but there's no receipt or weekly report of licenses issued to help double check that you've completed the process....you just don't find out until you are short income you expected the next month.... Is there a way to set up the license form to allow one to "view all entries" for the month and see if theirs is in the list? Seems right now, the only way to see that info is after filling a completed form. Even just a "printscrn" image from the "submitted" page might be enough... Quote

Not just the last month, although that would be nice. I would like to have the possibillity to check all builds. Brickseas is good, but it needs all entries to be correct. What about freebuilds that you licence later, and upgrades? Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 We (well, not me, personally but the technically savvy among us) are actually working hard behind the scenes to make everything automatic. When that's done, everyone should be able to easily see what's going on with your account. Until then (hopefully just in a matter of a week or so) please be patient! Not just the last month, although that would be nice. I would like to have the possibillity to check all builds. Brickseas is good, but it needs all entries to be correct. What about freebuilds that you licence later, and upgrades? There will be a new form for upgrading. At least there is supposed to be. We also have a function where you can check what licenses you have applied for but I'm not sure yet if that is completely ready to go so it hasn't been released yet. Quote
Tomsche Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Have good 4th of april laugh then... I didn`t follow the topic, and I came here just now with the counted figures on my three ships and as Quinnsville was ready now, all the characters counted on the hamlet as well... *sigh* Oh well, it was 80, ha-ha-grbl-ha Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 The approval DBs were definitely tallied but I can't speak for actually awarding them. I only assume Ska took care of that. 3+ FB approval DBs were included in the semi-automated FB summaries for each month. Ska would have these totals and they will be included. Quote
Bregir Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 As to calculating town bank: "Every property built within a settlement gives the town bank 5 DB per month." - Is this only licensed properties? And: "When a settlement becomes a city, it will also receive 5 DB per month for every property in its hinterland (area surrounding the city)." - How does one define what is in the settlement, and what is in its hinterland? I do not think this was ever answered? Enlighten me, pwease... @_@ Quote

No, it is every free-build comparable in size to a small license. See below: I think in general plantations are in the hinterland, everything else is in the city. Quote
Bregir Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Thanks Kai. Another question: Unlicensed moc's are worth 5, 10, or 15, compared to what they are equivalent to in terms of licensed properties, or always worth 5, regardless of size? Quote

Captain Dee Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Bregir - Kai beat me to the first question, but to answer this last question - any unlicensed MOC similar to the listed types of licensed properties is worth 5 for trade value, regardless of size. If you build a 48x48 comparable to a factory, artisan, commerce etc it's still only worth 5 unless you license it. About the hinterland - that could be tricky. Perhaps Ska can weigh in, but it should be a while before any settlements are large enough for this to be an issue. Quote
Bregir Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Thanks, both. As for the hinterland question, in the case of King's Harbour, I suppose that would include the fortress at Chase Point, since it is a considerable distance (appr. 5 nautical miles) away from the city. Quote
Captain Dee Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I should think so, yes, especially since it was built specifically for the purpose of guarding the harbor. Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 8, 2016 Author Posted April 8, 2016 They are always worth 5 Unless - at least this is the way I would understand it - it is significantly smaller than 16x16 (the smallest license size). Quote
Bregir Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Unless - at least this is the way I would understand it - it is significantly smaller than 16x16 (the smallest license size). This makes sense and that is how I interpret it too. Quote
