Doctor Sinister Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 Sorry that I haven't got around to posting here earlier. :-$ I love the idea of swapping an arm... although what will you do with all the spare arms? :-DI will make a point to note though that modern militaries rarely make it easy for the enemy to know who are the officers and thus rank marking are generally subdued in non-ceremonial uniforms. Am I suggesting you change it? Probably not as it does look pretty cool... but perhaps the red backpack is a bit much. I have a bag of spare arms that I truly do not know what to do with! Re' the backpack - yes, this has been observed elsewhere, it either means that Officers must always face the enemy where possible, or we'll just have to put up with a high attrition rate in the higher ranks. :-D I may change it (the backpacks I mean), I don't know. The arms are there to stay though - I agree that it looks cool and it really allows me to give some characterisation to my men - last night I changed all of the heads of all 30 men so no two troopers are the same. I'm edging towards possibly making some kind of humorous comic strip but it's really early days yet - but the arms and the faces would allow me to do that much better. Perhaps one strip can even focus on the red backpacks? :-) Would anyone be interested in reading something like this? Dr. S. Quote
Siegfried Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I have a bag of spare arms that I truly do not know what to do with! I thought so! :-D Re' the backpack - yes, this has been observed elsewhere, it either means that Officers must always face the enemy where possible, or we'll just have to put up with a high attrition rate in the higher ranks. :-D From my experience it isn't that big a deal if the officers die. >:-) Would anyone be interested in reading something like this? I sure would! I generally like your sense of humor. *sweet* Quote

Starwars4J Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I actually did something similar with my own troops a few months back: Commander (pauldron): Soldier: Pilot (blue arms): Tech (helmet and red hands): And for the hell of it X-D General: Admiral: Fleet Admiral: Brigadier General: That's not to hijack your thread, but to show that I've done something similar and find it can be quite effective :-D Quote
