Brickmaster Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 (edited) Well today I found a lovely 6195 Neptune Discovery Lab for a meare 60$ (Interesting story on how I got the price) *wub* And the Unitron 1789 Star Hawk II for about 25 bucks *y* They also had many other old sets there, these are just the two I bought, could any price junkie tell me what they may be worth nowadays? :-$ At the shop they also had the old fasioned 80's train rails, the old grey early 90s roadplates, exploriens, old town sets, and polybag space, pirate, and castle sets. They also had the old time travellers sets along with some other good ole' sets. I have yet to buy any of these as im not sure the market on them, but I plan to take an inventory there sometime to see if anyone was interested. But at this point these two I bought are what I'm curious of >:-) ... And the story of how I got the neptune lab for only 60$, originally the price tag wasnt even on there, so I asked the guy working how much it is, so he compaired it to the other awuazone set, the shark sub, for 45$, and I was going to get it for that untill the cash register worker said will this is bigger, it should be abit more. So 60$ then, still, great for an old MISB set and 20$ cheaper than normal? Good stuff. Edited December 3, 2007 by Brickmaster
Brickmaster Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 I was very happy with it, alot of their older sets are actually marked down, and as the cashiers negotiated price they just said bluntly we want the old stuff out of here. Its such a great place, but Its alittle bit of a drive and im abit short on cash, but I expect more misb valuable finds..
Buckshot Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Hmmm....well, Bricklink lists a "new" Neptune Lab at $90...so that's a pretty good indicator of it's potential worth. I'm guessing you could get a lot more on ebay. You seem to have stumbled upon a goldmine. Lucky! Soooooooooo, Brickmaster...I'm in Iowa, and Wisconsin isn't THAT far away. The location of this wonder store...what's it worth to you? >:-)
