Brainbox Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Some funny scenes depicted on the box. *sweet* And how many times does Santa appear? He seems to be everywhere. :-D How did you manage to keep it MISB until now ? I opened and sorted mine more than 1 month ago X-D Tsk. No self control some people. :-| ;-) So, yeah, nothing too special today, but so what? It's an advent calendar, and it's Lego. I have to say, some of my (new) friends thought it was kind of sweet that I had a Lego advent calendar. Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I've been very restrained and I'm opening mine day by day as well. Although as I said somewhere else, how the Tabletown budget is supposed to fund the MASSIVELY bloated fire service, I just don't know. Dr. S. Quote
Lt. Veers Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Well, thanks for spoiling the surprise. |-/ Please write "spoilers present" next time. Quote
SirNadroj Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Thanks, but when I opened mine this morning, the bag wasn't like that, it only had one small hole! 8-| Quote
Freddie Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I too didn't open mine until today. Altough, I didn't have much choice - it wasn't securely in my posession until late last night (30th nov.), so obviously I could wait a few hours. There are lots of neat details on the front. I'm curious, which pieces are used for the scates? And the golden piece the thief holds in his hand? It's also neat to see TLC for once combine sets in ways that are unusual for them. For example 7239 w/o trailer parked in the station, with its boat being used by the police. Normal in every home, but not for TLC. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Well, thanks for spoiling the surprise. |-/ Please write "spoilers present" next time. I thought that was kinda self explanatory.. :-/ Could a moderator add that in the sub-title anyways? 8-| Quote

No self control some people. :-| ;-) Indeed X-D And especially when it comes with Lego :-D I thought that was kinda self explanatory.. :-/ Could a moderator add that in the sub-title anyways? 8-| Done per your request UB even if I don't really see the point :-/ So we are awaiting day 2 mini review mind you :-P *yoda* Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 December 2nd Yay! *wub* That's a nice one! *sweet* The pieces. The finished mini-model: 1st and 2nd together: The spare parts ( 8- Quote
5150 Lego Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Ok,please forgive me if this has been answered before, but what exactly is the advent calender? Are you supposed to open only a pakage a day? Are the contents inside unknown when you buy it? Quote

Are you supposed to open only a pakage a day? Are the contents inside unknown when you buy it? You don't know what an advent calendar is? *wacko* That's a new one.. :-P But yea, you are correct. You open one suprise each day from December 1st to December 24th (christmas). The contents are unknown, otherwise it wouldn't be a suprise.. :-P Quote
steelharbingerofdeath Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 i could not believe how many spares when i opened mine. and whomever complained of spoilers, err the first 3 "surprises" are on the back of the box. steel... Quote

Are all advent calenders the same? not embarrasing... yes they are numbered, 1-24 but some have extra to new year, not all are the same obviously lego advent calanders have lego, most others have chocolate. you can get many themed calanders such as simpsons, doctor who, disney. steel... Derek Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Why are there so many spare parts in the calanders? It seems that 30-40% of the parts per day arent even used in the model. Quote
steelharbingerofdeath Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 take it as a blessing not a curse. steel... Quote
