6stud Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Just saw the 10173 Holiday train and K10183 Hobby train are 50% off as of November 24 7:30PM EST. The FSH99 free shipping coupon will knock the discount out, so don't use it. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...83&cn=384&d=328 http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...73&cn=384&d=328 Edited November 26, 2007 by Starwars4J

Apparently it has worked for a few people.
Siegfried Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Since I bought the Holiday train a few weeks ago I hope that the sale doesn't come to Australians! :-P Thanks for the news thought and welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet*
6stud Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 Thanks for the welcomes- I've got several years of MOCs to post.

simonwillems Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 When I first looked at the links provided it was just a US discount, but now it seems that Europe is getting involved as well!! I will very, very, very seriously consider buying the Hobby Train set.... :'-)

This has been a bad order for me; I wait all year for the 7699 MT-101 Armored Drilling Unit to arrive in my local stores, give up a few weeks ago and decide to buy it on-line, and then it turns up the next day for far less money! Now the 10173 Holiday Train, which I added largely just to make the postage worthwhile, has gone half price. :-| I think the world hates me. To make it worse the order still hasn't arrived so I am left with a large case of buyers remorse without even having the Lego to enjoy....
ExoBuilder Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 It's allright Sinner, everyone has those bad days!
highlandcattle Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 dudes, I just bought the 10183 less then a month ago full price, dam now I feel real shitty.
ExoBuilder Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Just got one, It should be here by Christmas.
WesternOutlaw Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I just ordered a Holiday Train yesterday but the Hobby Train was not listed on the Sale Page. I hate when I discover this after I place an order. Thanks for the info though.
Dark Brick Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I will place my order soon. One quick question. Does anyone know if we can take the invoice to a LEGO retail store and get the stamps for this? Thanks. DB

Does anyone know if we can take the invoice to a LEGO retail store and get the stamps for this? Thanks.DB no you cannot. you should just cancel that order, go to a lego store and order from there. you get free shipping if you order from the store too. depends on how far the shop is, the money you spend on gas might be cheaper than the shipping cost.
CopMike Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Got me two of these babies in Chicago. On for 50% coming to $50 and one for another 60% on top of the 50% coming to $22.07 because the box was smashed *wub*! X-mas On copmike
LuxorV Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'm gonna get one 10173 Holiday Train along with some Wikings set (on sale for Italy, maybe elsewhere too). Sales ON *y* LuxorV

I hate when I discover this after I place an order. Thanks for the info though. Hence the importance of keeping an eye out for posts in this thread as its not the first time large reductions have appeared on sets that have not been listed on the sales and deals page. However, if you ring Lego customer service they may be able to add the Hobby Train to your order. They can sometimes do this if the order hasn't processed far in their system. I've added to online orders over the phone in the past by ringing LS@H the next day after I've forgotten to order something. Not sure if its different for the US distribution centre. David
Brickadier General Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I just ordered a Holiday Train yesterday but the Hobby Train was not listed on the Sale Page. I hate when I discover this after I place an order. Thanks for the info though. It's not listed on the sale page, but if you enter "hobby train" in the search menu bar you can see it's still 50% off. The only thing is it's backordered until Dec. 14th, but still worth the wait. Maybe they don't want to list it in the sales and deals section because of that. I made sure to get me one and the Holiday Train for my little brother.

No, it was never on the sale page, even when it was in stock. For some annoying reason S@H don't put all sales on the sale page. *wacko* I hope that it is just because they forget... :-/ The Kings Castle set was the same. Mines on its way. I ordered mine just before it went on backorder! *sweet*
