MagPiesRUs Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 (edited) Once again Apache, great pics! I love the angles you take, and the way you make it look as if we're right in the action! I especially like your second and fifth pics *wub* Edited November 18, 2007 by TinyPiesRUs Quote
Apache Posted November 18, 2007 Author Posted November 18, 2007 Last moments of a rich man Thanks Tinypies, I had the day off so I was able to get out to my spot and snag some pictures before the light faded. This was the last shot of the day and probably my favorite. Enjoy. Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Indeed, that last shot is beautiful with the sunset and the silhouette (?) *wub* Once again, excellent work! *y* *y* *y* Quote
Graynar Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Oh nice! I love these beautiful pictures -very artistic! The sunset picture is out of this world -great stuff man! Keep up the good work! *y* Quote
Shadows Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Absolutely great! The contrast of smooth bright plastic and rough natural stone taken just the right lighting gives it an otherworldly look, and yet it seems like it fits perfectly. A few pictures, no dialogue, yet a complete story told. Great job! *y* Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Excellent Apache. These make me want to go out and play with my WW sets in the dirt. I esp. like the steps in the crevice. Once again, nice job. I'll talk with you soon. ;-) Quote
iamded Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Nice, I love the last shot. *y* ~Peace Quote

Apache Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 I'm glad you all enjoy the pics as well as how they are inspiring some of you to get those legos back outside. I finished shooting up the miner and Apache with the sun still in the sky, so I had a bit of a wait untill the sun was just right. I'll be posting more the next time I can get out there. Thanks again for the compliments. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Once again, very nice photography. *y* *y* Quote
Sir Dillon Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 These are very cool Apache! The lighting is lovely, and I think you have picked a great location for your pictures. The picture quality is also great... what type of camera do you use? Quote
jedikermit Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Beautiful shots--that final one is my new wallpaper on my computer at school. Fantastic stuff! Quote
Apache Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Muchas gracias to all of the compliments. Dir Dillion I was using my Cannon XTI 400D with a 55 mm portrait lense. Quote
zouave Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 A man, his legos, and a camera, what more could somebody ask for. These scenes are wonderful. Gathering ore and last moments of a rich man are the best. Quote
TheFrisian Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Your outdoor pictures never fail to impress, both in terms of layout and picture quality. These are again beautiful works of art! :'-) Quote
MicVash Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Wondeful photography! Wow, I'm really amazed! The use of real physical landscape worked really really well! Now I'm inspired! I must just want to go outdoors to photograph too! The last angle of the apache is really great too, nice work! Quote
Apache Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 Thank you, thank you. It is very encouraging to hear how many of you like these shots, it makes me want to take more. I was setting up a scene this morning but the wind kept blowing the figures off of the cliff, so I will have to shoot another day. Apache Quote
