Starship Troopers #2

I worked hard during the week-end to produce a small ammount of SST weapons. They are all based on descriptions from the book.

First, a scene of the first battle: Johnny Rico vs 2 Skinnies. Johnny is using the flame-thrower connected to his big sonic(?) blade

Here, owr hero is targeting the spaceport and the ship with the A-missil launcher. I may have made it a bit too bulky 8-|

Now, let's get into space with everybody's favourite space ship: the Rodger Young

It is based on the movie version, but I added the launching tubes in the nose, that are used to drop the infantry pods.

Next issue will be about Bugs, if I can find a non-horrible way to build them 8-| .

That Y-launcher is awesome! You could propably add some detail to it when using 1x1 round plates instead of the 1x1 round brick.

I actually got some of those helmets and never thought of such a use.

Are you planning to add even more stuff to the suit? As I recall, the jumb devices are in the legs. It would be awesome to see a fully build suit.

As for the jump devices, they are quite hard to build in M scale (I think I could use the legs of one of these...

... or I could build a Technic fig scaled armour, even if when I last tried (some 8 years ago) it came out quite :-X ...

I based my SSTs on the book, yes, but it is never said which color the suit is. I think it should be dark grey or something dark, but I only have 1 black suit (used in the first vig here)... :-$

Actually, bugs are my current project ;-)

Cool! Personally I've only seen some of the second movie (at least I think it was the second). I remember a guy shooting a hole in a giant bug and shoving a grenade in it. :-D

No, there are two movies. Starship Troopers, and Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation. A third movie is currently under production. I didn't even know there was a book until a while ago. X-D
