5150 Lego Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 This is great, i hope we get to see some Audi's too *wub* Thanks for sharing legomilk! That would be sweet! I'd love an RS4 with working suspention, steering, engine tranny 4 wheel drive the works! Ido hope this opens the doors for more VW models. A VW camper would be nice, but i'd like to see an MK4 GTI. simonwillems Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Great model, I'll be buying this when it gets discounted somewhere.... Interesting. I can almost see myself purchasing this. ;-) I've always loved the Miniland scale vehicles they have at the parks, would be awesome to actually own one! Actually the cars in the Legolandparks are much smaller than this Volkswagen. They fit inside it actually, this thing is 22 studs wide (at least the front bumper is) and the park-cars are no more than 10 or 12 studs. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 It would be better if they did Richard Hammond's amphiboius VW Camper Narrowboat. That one made me laugh. A lot. Twice.Staying on topic: That blue beetle is a lot nicer than the grey on that was previewed. I'm tempted to get one, pity I need to save up money for a proper car, seing how my current one has fallen to the plague known as rust. Nonetheless, if the Beetle should prove to be a success, I sure hope LEGO would consider doing the Combi, and maybe also the Mk. I Golf GTi as well. Hilarious! Especially that little stairs and steering wheel on the back :-D Quote

Wout Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) That looks good, but it's more technic-figure or Belville-figure big (Although I think Hinckley's or Sinners Avatars would to try it, LOL) Edited December 23, 2007 by Wout Quote
Zuloon Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 (Although I think Hinckley's or Sinners Avatars would to try it, LOL) Huh? Quote

He's saying it's too big for mini-figs, but could probably fit Technic, Belville or Fabuland figures. :-) ~Peace Quote

adik_sa_lego Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 it's "studly". hope it's only preliminary and they would eventually smoothen it out Quote
simonwillems Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Some more from the Frechen event here (translated version) Thanks for those pics Legomilk and pedroagnelo! I love this car *wub* *wub* The spare wheel in the boot/trunk, the gas/breaking panels, the little engine..... Wow, I hope this is the definitive version and not something preliminary. Only the steering wheel could have been better. *wub* Quote
simonwillems Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 My ony fear is that I will not be able to afford it :'-( ...which isn't that hard to imagine. I fear the pricetag as well (somewhere between 150-200 euro, I think). Quote
CopMike Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 *wub* *wub* *wub* - Pure Love all the way!! Here a closeup pic from 0937: Lots of dark blue *y*! On the wall behind him there Quote

Flossie Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Looking at the link to the AutoBild article it seems that the set is going to cost 120 Euros which is Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I am SOO buying this set. To the people asking about scale: I doubt it'll fit minifig, fabuland or technic. Maybe Belville, but I doubt it. I think it's meant to be the same scale as the cars you find dotted around LEGOLAND. Quote
