I have all three AoE games i think the third got a little complicated but fun nontheless

I've only recently got hold of up to date versions of AOE I and II and even there I never really use half the game options. I'm probably just betraying my age here but all games seem to have gotten far far too complicated and lengthy now. The idea of playing for a couple hours mininum once in a while seems to have gone and now one needs a couple days minimum for half these games. I know people who play these things for about 12 hours a day every, who has that kind of time? Waste of life anyway...

What was more complex about this one over the older games?
