Brickmaster Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) (Rawr, attacking kitty messing up my picture backround!) My favourite parts are the Canopies that go back into the structure of the ship - for some reason I like windows to see inside. I originally built these just for some troop carriers and give the titan xp parts some sort of use (Hence ugly icky colors!) As I said, it is the first creation in almost 3 years - I ended up somewhat happy with it, so decided to share (And please excuse my lack of controls / interior) For the full Gallery (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=284262 All comments and criticism (Constructive or not. Hah!) are welcome. Sorry for all the pics. Mocpage: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/40704 Edited November 9, 2007 by brickmaster Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Very nice! I like your style. It has an odd colour scheme. As well, the folder is not yet public. Quote
Brickmaster Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) Yes; Sorry about that, when it does become public there are also pics of it's sister ship *y* *sweet* All pictures now added Edited November 9, 2007 by brickmaster Quote
Hinckley Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Welcome back to building! It looks great. I love the way the hatch opens. That is very cool. The bigger ship seems a little too busy, I can't put my finger on it, maybe it seems too bulky. I think maybe trying to get a nice curved shape out of it, you made it a little too angular. Does that make sense? I would also have chosen a different color scheme, but at least it is consistant. The sister ship is also very cool, especially the weapons system. They are both really well built and creative and I hope we see more from you soon! *sweet* Quote
Brickmaster Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) Thank you for the comments, Im still abit rusty from almost 3 years off the lego :-$ About the color scheme - Yes its icky, but I tried to make them completely out of the 4508 Titan Xp reator set *wub* http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=4508-1 (I have two, got them 50% off each! Which is why I have 4 of those dark grey canopies that form the sides) Edited November 9, 2007 by brickmaster Quote
Hinckley Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 It doesn't seem like you've taken a three year break. That is why I can't wait to see what you do when you shake the rust off. Because what you've done here is already great... Quote
iamded Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 This is cool, I for one like the colour scheme! I thought 'Titan XP' when I first saw them. X-D I like the design, it looks very heavy and armoured, I like it. *y* *y* ~Peace Quote
MicVash Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 I love the bay doors, both ships look pretty speedy yet sturdy transports. I can imagine them just cruising right into a hot spot, GO GO GO! Quote
Asuka Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Very fine MOCs with a good cockpit design and the color scheme works pretty cool. *y* Dropships Quote

Brickmaster Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 I forgot to mention that. I would love to see details of the SNOT technique. It looks really ingenious. Is it stable? I would love it if you shared that with us! *sweet* Is it stable? Quite frankly yes *sweet* There are afew main connections joints that may seem weak, but I must say all in all it is quite a rugged ship, it feels very solid. I will post pictures tomorrow, I went to shadow another school today and spent time with friends - sorry! Quote
Hinckley Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Upsy-daisy, (...) :-D I didn't take it as a bad opposition anyway and part of me figure my self-centered nature was making the assumption you were responding to me. But I don't mind the discussion and look at both of us as respecting eachother. :-) But we can fight too if you want! *wub* The walrus is great but there's always room for more! :-P It's just so hard to get mad at a wise zen unicorn...
