Chuck Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Silly concept, I know, but I like it nonetheless. A few notes about this. This was built pretty much with spare white and red parts from a small, broken MOC and 2 ferrari sets. This was also based on a rather obscure Anime I saw on Cartoon Network a while back. Yes, I do have a strange obsession with small, somewhat useless windshields ;-) Enjoy! -Chuck Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Very nice Chuck! I like your miniature creations. Quote
Chuck Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Very nice Chuck! I like your miniature creations. It isn't miniature, hence the prescence of a (full) fig in it ;-) -Chuck Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 It isn't miniature, hence the prescence of a (full) fig in it ;-) -Chuck I'm pretty sure he meant the fact that you make small MOCs rather than larger ones, generally. Quote
iamded Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 I think this is awesome! I really like how you use odd but clever building methods, very cool! It all looks nice and detailed. Kudos for getting it to stand up too! :-D *y* *y* ~Peace Quote
MicVash Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Wow, very nice Mech, excellent color scheme, I only wish it could transform into a Ferrari though! Quote
LuxorV Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Great MOC *y* *y* Clever use of the bionicle joints for the hips, and smart use of the inner wedge to support the body on the wheels *wub* Obscure Anime inspirations ON *y* LuxorV Quote

Chuck Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 Wow, very nice Mech, excellent color scheme, I only wish it could transform into a Ferrari though! That would probably end with one minifig dead :-P -Chuck Quote
Trexxen Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Wow, that's amazing! I'm loving the use of the minifigure hands to connect the arms - looks great on this creation. You mention you fit a whole minifigure in there; do you have to destroy the torso to get him out? Also, does it stand sturdily? I'd imagine that the wheels could create a problem with standing... Overall, a very nice, compact MOC - with full marks for creativity, too. Also, just going to take a stab at the mystery anime since I haven't seen anything on that channel for a while - is it Megas XLR? ~Trexxen Quote
SirNadroj Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Looks cool! *y* I like the little windshield ( ;-) ) but I'm not feeling the hands. Quote
iamded Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 looks nice. not very sturdy i assume? the mech's arms are connected via mf hands and mf legs. That's the method I used for my robot, and the method CountBlockula sometimes uses. I think it's clever, and quite like it myself. :-D That would probably end with one minifig dead :-P I always wondered what would happen if a transformer transformed with someone inside it, especially after the new movie! :-P I imagine it would be quite messy... 8-| ~Peace Quote

I try my best to make sure that a figure can fit in my Minifig scaled creations! The "mystery anime" is actually a short-lived show called "IGPX", which stood for "Immortal Grand Prix" (maybe the last X in the abbreviation means 10) . For anyone interested in attempting to make their own, cross section pics are available on my Flickr. -Chuck Edited November 13, 2007 by Chuck Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I've heard of the show - It was on Teletoon a few years back.... Will we see any more of these soon? Quote
iamded Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Cool, thanks for the cross-section pics. :-D Looking at your other creations, I must say you're a great builder! The Steampunk TIE Fighter, the Spartan Hardsuit (thanks for the cross-section pics for that too!), th MaK SAFS, excellent! Dual rip-off of Soren Roberts' patrol boat and Keith Goldman's Iron Shark. I see you've seen Keith Goldman's MOCs too. Is he the same Keith Goldman as this one? ~Peace Quote
