don leopold Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 In the next days i am going to show some old mocs and tell something about it. All the foto's can be found on my Flickr account, you can see that i always use a white blanket as a background. The last weeks i am learning how to change the background in a nice color with GIMP. The first MOC is "Learning how to fish" and it was made for Colossal Castle Contest XI and the category was "A child's life" In my moc you can see how parents in the medieval life learn their children how to fish and how to cook them. enjoy !!! Blitzismydog Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I think that tree is fabulous. I like the building, the bridge and the foliage. In my opinion the water looks out of place, it looks sort of 8bit video game-y in the middle of a detailed build. Overall, though, the build feels lively and definitely tells a story, I like it alot. Puvel Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 That looks brilliant! The tree and house look very good, the minifies are what makes this excellent. Especially the fish gutting one is awesome Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 A great build ! I like the house design and the flow in the river. The minifigs are making all this scene very convincing and realistic ! Good job ! Quote

Haha i never saw it like that about the water, in my opinion the little river looks like a drawing from a cartoon. Thanks for the compliments. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Lovely - and very classic! Quote
Forresto Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Solid scene the mini figure's expressions bring everything to life. I especially like the one next to the man descaling the fish Quote
AmperZand Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 In my moc you can see how parents in the medieval life learn their children how to fish and how to cook them. How to cook their children? Wow, harsh! Seriously though, great MOC. I especially like the look of the house and the scene in which the kid is horrified at seeing the fish being filleted. Quote
Staslegomaster Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 That's a nice diarama, Such an unspeakable piece of art with unusual building techniques. It looks very realistic. I like the playability of your creation You seem to be a Medieval history fan just as I am. I like projects of historic topics and with a story behind them. It seems the fishing lesson was a success! Schreeuwwitje Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Great looking MOC, love the classic look a lot... For me the minifigs won't work so well (yellow + flesh) but I also struggle with this topic every time... Still very nice :) Quote
