ExoBuilder Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I was recently moving my all my LEGO sets that are on my shelf off to clean them and then I realized I do not like my Shadow Crawler one bit. Could somebody either give me a link to some alt. instructions or give me an idea of what to make from it? Thanks, EB59 Quote
MicVash Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I'd suggest using the leg armor for use on a space fighter...or as particle cannons, massive weaponry for a mech or tank or even space fighter...or use them for jet boosters on a mech. Quote
Siegfried Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I still like mine, but I already consider it spare parts. I leave Harry Potter in the torture bubble because he deserves it! >:-) My advice is similar to MicVash; use it with another set. However, I did find this.. ...which is made from 8104. I recomend you do a Brickshelf search and see what else you can find. *sweet* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 (edited) I've tried brickshelf I just can't seem to find alternate instructions for it. Edited November 7, 2007 by Exo-builder59 Quote
Siegfried Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I've tried brickshelf I just can't seem to find alternate instructions for it. Well you asked for instructions or an idea! I went for the easy option and gave you an idea! How about this 8104 and 8105 combiner? Quote
MicVash Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I've tried brickshelf I just can't seem to find alternate instructions for it. Simply make your own instructions. Creativity and Ingenuity are key in Mech building. Quote

Brickmaster Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Creativity and Ingenuity are key in Mech building. Personally I think thats the key to ANY building *sweet* Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Nice finds Sinner! I *wub* that first one. Quote
john cleese Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Personally I think thats the key to ANY building *sweet* I was about to say the exact same thing. I find shadow crawler generally isnt a very good set, for parts or otherwise. Edited November 8, 2007 by john cleese Quote
MicVash Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Personally I think thats the key to ANY building *sweet* Very true, true indeed. It just so happens that most of the things I build are Mechs! :-P I was about to say the exact same thing. I find shadow crawler generally isnt a very good set, for parts or otherwise. Another reason why I dislike Exo-Force, too many wierd pieces. Although...doesn't that call for Creativity and Ingenuity? Quote
Brickmaster Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I guess that would depend peice per peice, it can either inhibit creativity by not having any other functions or being an almost unusable peice, or you can get more ingenuity to find a use for the socalled unusable. Personally I find them to be more inhibiting, some of them are just abit too odd to be usable in many of the original style legos - this is why I always comment on your original joints, none of those round clicky galidor joints Quote

Thank you. *sweet* The classic joints are the only ones I'm comfortable with because I've been using them ever since I was a small kid, like 7. Plus I don't really have any of the new "galidor" joints cause the last LEGO set I ever got was so so long ago, I'm talking years, at Christmas. I just buy from BrickLink now. Only recently have I managed to make them work quite well. Edited November 8, 2007 by MicVash Quote

ExoBuilder Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Thanks everyone for the great help! I remember once seeing a sub made from the Shadow Crawler on Flickr. I just can't seem to find it! Quote
