RebelRock Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 This is my first experiment in the steam powered genre. It's a mobile flamethrower with tank treads. I know everyone hates the Star Wars guns but it was my preferred choice because one end has a nice rounded side to it. Whatever, I like them sometimes. :-P Image is gallery when public. One side. The other side. From behind. Flamage. Quote
simonwillems Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks Rebelrock! What a very nice steamroller/flamethrower you have created here. Inventive use of those round plates to make the smoke coming out of the chimney, it looks very realistic. Keep on steaming! *y* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Welcome to EB! This is a very good creation you got here. I really like the use of the smoke for the chimney as well. The grey treads look like they were made for that. Good job and we hope to see more. Quote
Kliq Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 This is very cool, RebelRock. I love the wagon wheels combined with tank treads! :'-) I always kinda enjoyed the Star Wars guns, but they look even better here. Quote
TheFrisian Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 *wub* Love at first sight! Your steam powered flamethrower tank thingy is just superb!!! It's as steampunk as steampunk can get. And as others already mentioned, the smoke makes for a really nice finishing touch! Quote
MicVash Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The treads and smokestack are just perfect for steampunk! Quote
Asuka Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 A very cool and detailed work indeed, just lovely! :'-) Quote
Dragonator Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 This is great, love all the detailed parts, like the smokestack and the wheel assemblages! The minifig is great too, love the hook hand :-D Quote
optimus-convoy Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Very nice use of the new tank treads there. It goes well with the old style wheels. And the steam... makes it all the more steampunk. ;-) Quote
MatthewUSA Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I also would like to say welcome to EB RebelRock. I think your MOC looks *sweet* . I thought your design looked like something you would have seen in Wild Wild West (movie). This would have been very cooool to see in that movie. Model On!! Quote
natelite Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 RR has been on EB for some time now. Best known for his most excellent dwarf's hill and bikini-clad avatar. :-P another good creation! *y* how about a small size sci-fi mecha next? X-D Quote
casewindu Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Very clever Rebelrock I love your imagiation! This must have taken a lot of planning before hand, I wish I could plan stuff :-( ;-) Quote
zero1312 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Absolutely beautiful!! *wub* *wub* I wonder why Lego hasn't released a true steampunk line. ;-) Quote
