The Middleman Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Harry Potter was a huge improvement over what? Long live Classic Castle! Other Harry Potter. Hey, we're getting a nice graveyard! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 And what direction would you like to see LEGO take with trains Mr The Brickster? More detailed buildings like a new non-<insert that tiresome argument>/classic station, grain-tower, cargo loading platform with crane, general store, church, water tower, and a bridge. I've said this numerous times, but I would love to see Lego re-visit the Western theme and mix it with trains (as a Western train & town sub-theme). In addition, a Maersk freight/platform car would be great with maybe a semi truck to pull the container (which Lego released as only promotional before). I am also looking forward to rolling stock to go with the BNSF (maybe later this year if lego follows what it did with the Super Chief. The detail of these engines have been outstanding. As far as Harry Potter goes, I am looking forward to the cemetery. Looks like a neat set and Lego hasn't done a cemetery before. Quote
The Middleman Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 The one thing that's lacking from the current Harry Potter line is a maze, which I think would be awesome, but they probably aren't going to do - it's too large. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 25, 2005 Author Governor Posted April 25, 2005 Was there a maze in any of the Harry Potter movies? Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Finally! they are listening to us! *satis* Quote
The Middleman Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Was there a maze in any of the Harry Potter movies? There will be. It's missing from the Goblet of Fire line. The third and final task in the Triwizard Tournament is for the champions to navigate a maze of 20-foot high hedges into the center (facing obstacles such as sphinxes, strange mists, blast-ended skrewts, acromantulas, etc) and to grasp the Triwizard Cup. SPOILERS FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE MOVIE BELOW! The cup turns out to be a Portkey, an object enchanted to, when touched, transport the toucher to a designated location - in this case, the graveyard where Lord Voldemort is restored to his full power once more. Governor Mister Phes Posted April 27, 2005 Author Governor Posted April 27, 2005 Do you dudes already know which sets are in the Goblet of Fire line? Quote
jonfett Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Do you dudes already know which sets are in the Goblet of Fire line? http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...ct=ST&f=2&t=845 There are only 4 due to be released at the moment, but hopefully there will be others later this year. Jon. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 27, 2005 Author Governor Posted April 27, 2005 Why thank you Mr. Fett. You fellows could well get your maze in the later half of the year then. If you're lucky! Quote
The Middleman Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 If anything, it'll be Q1 2006, but I'd think that if they were going to release a set THAT BIG, it'd be made to coincide with the movie release. Still, there isn't a set over $60 in this line, and there are usually one or two per movie. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 1, 2005 Author Governor Posted May 1, 2005 The movie would promote the sets very nicely I imagine. Quote
The Middleman Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 The movie would promote the sets very nicely I imagine. Since the sets are made for the movies, not the books, that's the general idea. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 1, 2005 Author Governor Posted May 1, 2005 But to a smaller degree the sets would also promote the movie... And so on and so forth... Quote
