Videos deeplinked on EB not showing ! ?

Ive updated everything. Being Chrome, firefox, yac, Adobe, quicktime aso.

Yet, for some reason i dont get the usual frame for whoever post a video on this site.

Its been like this for weeks, and i offcourse thought it was related to my own setup.

Links are fine, i can see those. But whenever people are posting videos directly onto EB i cant see them. The whole page is just blank white, not even the frame for the plugin shows up.

And its the only page i have this problem with. I have really run out of possibilities of why this error occours to me.

Any clues anybody ?

The thing is that i cant even se the links. For example some of the early looks of new sets you yourself put up, i can only imagine that videos have been posted due to a huge white space in betweeen text and pictures.

If i "mark" all spaces in between i can se the frame where the video was supposed to show up, but rightclicking it gives me nothing.

Its like the frame is there but the plug-in has been blocked by my browsers, still havent figured it out as you can guess.

Whats weird is that ive only came across this problem on this site and a non LEGO related site.

Every other pages seems to work proper.

I go to the page's source fish out the link copy paste, I don't know how to solve the problem

Im not trying to deeplink videos. I cant se any videos at all posted here on EB. Being video reviews or other.

Ive come to the conclusion that it have occured after i installed win 10 and then reversed my system back to win7.

Its most definately a problem with my laptop.

And keep in mind our Guidelines about punctuation and capitalization. Respect yourself, respect the community, communicate to your best ability.

Could be, but im still quite offended by that comment !

And it has actually made me not comment on as many posts as i use to, as well as reporting spam.

Ive done a lot for this community, so comments like that hurts.

Oh KlodsBrik don't mind Hinckley, let it go this time. And I know it was kind irrelevant and not very acceptable from a Mod, but do promise you won't stay hurt forever. Accept his comment as constructive criticism, and he won't bother you again. Right Hinckley * Lets be friends again.

Oh and the video thing, don't bother, I can handle, shouldn't be much a burden. There aren't that much videos anyway. But I don't know about you, will you be able to handle.

Let me start by saying that yes, KlodsBrik is a productive and respected, positive member of this community and I know that.

When I say respect the community I'm generalizing. I say it to everyone with "bad" grammar habits. Yours, as we discussed privately, are culture–specific. But my point in saying that to everyone is that you respect yourself when you communicate to the best of your ability and your respect the community by doing the same and posting with proper grammar and capitalization. When you communicate to the best of your ability you respect yourself and everyone else around you. If you treat this like a text conversation with abbreviations and no punctuation or capitalization, you disrespect everyone, including our Site Guidelines. I don't mean that you are a disrespectful member. I only mean that we should all do our best to communicate clearly and respect the English language to the best of our ability. You agree to do this when you sign up and agree to our Guidelines. This I direct to every member, not just KlodsBrik. If I think your grammar habits are disrespectful, I don't mean that you as a person have overtly disrespected anyone.

Thanks for clarifying Hinckley. This will offcourse be a long process as English aint my native language. But im all in for learning !

Yeah, no results. I really have no clue as to why I have this problem.

Just have to clean up a terabyte of drawings, pictures, and building plans before doing a reinstall to fix the problem .

I haven't yet reinstalled my computer.

However i just found a workaround if anyone else have the same problem ( cant believe that I hadn't noticed this before ).

If I "quote" a post that has a video not showing, the link will show up in the post reply, where it doesnt show in the original post.

And please read the prior problem, as this might sound obvious to all. But this problem is, ( was ) something out of the ordinary.

That is why I have pledged to physically have the YouTube link in with any video I post just for those ( like me ) whom videos for some reason do not embed correctly. So you said the problem 'was', but it hasn't disappeared for you has it? It still is there for me. Yet when I open the post on chrome it works... I am on Firefox. But I don't really mind the problem anyway...

Yeah, the problem is still there.

But at least now I know how to get a link for it when it's a video I really want to see.

I've never had this problem before the last 5 years here on EB. That's why it was / is a pita !
