Historican Highway 2, or H2, is one of the major highways of Historica, streching from the western shore of Avalonia's eastern grasslands to the Nocturnian capital of Abyssian.

Thanks for looking. I just meant for this MOC to be humorous, so I don't intend it to be taken seriously. The bold and italicized words are supposed to be what's on the sign. Anyways, I hope you like it, and comments are appreciated.

I like IT, but try some texture on the roads. IT would give things a more ancient feeling! Still, a nice idea!

I don't see the humor in this. I hate to say this, but this is just plain bad. No texture or detailing whatsoever, no nice presentation even, just some empty plates and a few stacks of standard bricks in layout LDD view. I know there are amazing and less amazing builders for Historica, but everyone shares a dedication and passion for what they are making and what they are contributing to this role play universe. We learn from each others builds, by observing, reproducing and ultimately innovating with bricks. You don't have to be good from the start, but your attitude plays a key role in developing yourself. And therefore, I advise you to try harder!

Sorry for the rant, but view this as constructive criticism.

Sorry to say so, but I agree with Exetrius...

Actually, thanks for the criticism. I admit that I am I bad builder, but I need time to "progress." Sorry it wasn't as good as you expected, but I hope by the third build, I can get better.

I, for one, do see the idea behind this, and find the thought rather amusing. :sweet:

However, I do agree that putting more effort into detailing would help - Giving it more life and texture, for instance with traffic of waggons, riders and people on foot, as well as texturing the road and the side of the road. :classic:

Spending some more time on it before posting is definitely encouraged.

A final comment. I haven't been around long enough to consider myself a veteran of GoH, but I am pretty experienced here.

What makes GoH the incubator of so many great builders, and many more who have improved tremendously at great pace, is the nature of the critique.

It has ALWAYS been constructive and positive, and we do not have a tradition for blaming people for trying. Especially not for their first few builds. I think Exetrius' comment was too harsh. This is not a personal reflection on Exetrius, but on the choice of tone. ALWAYS say something positive, and keep a general positive tone. If you cannot, don't post. We are here to improve eachother, not to bring anyone down. :classic:

This is, of course, my personal reflections on my experience here, as well as on how I should like to be treated myself.
