Sucram Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Can an LXF file be uploaded directly here? otherwise it won't be happening, I dont have account on brickshelf or other site to store it. Ive seen them be uploaded here. Quote
Balhu Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Very nice! I really like the landing gear. Whenever I'm building ships, landing gear is a huge issue for me. I might have to try your take on it. :) Quote
Nom Carver Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 This is a beaut!! Nom; If Lego did a "Star Wars - Retro" line of sets (with a correspondingly lower parts count) ; I`d be buying them if they looked as good as yours and they would probably be much more affordable than some of the over-priced sets we are currently getting...keep up the good work! I like that quite a bit! Nice job. Very nice! I really like the landing gear. Whenever I'm building ships, landing gear is a huge issue for me. I might have to try your take on it. :) Thanks again guys, I really didn't expect it to be appealing to so many of you, I thought I was alone on the "oldish/not so many details" boat. Ive seen them be uploaded here. I seen it too, but how? I have to insist, if you got LDD you can easily duplicate it, its the most basic build ever, yet if you find the way to upload the file I will do so right away. Quote
r5-j2 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Keep em` coming, Lego is becoming more complicated and hence more expensive than it has to be, Lego will sets very be close to ,but never quite as accurate an exact scale miniature of any vehicle/structure...but that is the charm of Lego...a set may be completely recognisable when built as say a TIE fighter, but it is still a Lego set and that is the joy of it! I absolutely agree, but TLC is a company looking for a profitable business, yet if we don't like what dey sell to us, we can always alter it to our personal taste or build it as we want it to be. On another note, here is a worn out version of the same vehicle (notice the extensive use of extremely "yellowed" white bricks): P1010003 by Nom Carver, en Flickr P1010008 by Nom Carver, en Flickr I saved those old bricks for this exact reason, but I would like them to be as they used to, do any of you have a useful solution for this? r5-j2 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I like the "yellow/aged" bricks.. it gives it what antiques collectors call a "patina",it fits nicely in with the retro look ; a nice change from the crisp , split new look you normally get. Quote

Thanks, it certainly gives it a battle hardened look to it. Quote
